WTH?!? Then the fail is with Chrome, which is usually pretty secure, because I got no warning or indication about that. Grrr.
Those are all reputable vendors as you know , I'll take my chances with them and a prepaid card rather than put up with the unarmed robbery that the B&M's around here commit .

Well the problem with these sellers online can be fixed. They could just FIX it, and they would get more business. If they really cared about their customers, they would just DO IT. That isn't too much to ask.
They might not be aware of it , there was a shakeup with SSL a few weeks ago and a lot of sites and browsers haven't caught up with it yet .

I'm surprised the CC companies don't put pressure on them. But then they don't care either. We're the ones who pay for fraud in the end....and in more ways than one.

Firefox is telling me this Lori.

I could tell by the message you got. They all have their own way of saying there's a problem. I meant to say that I use Chrome, and Chrome didn't warn me that the sites had a problem.

I agree with Retic though about Vape Royalty and RTD (which is very close to where I live). I've ordered multiple times from both of them, with no problems at all. He's right that local stores have their prices way over-inflated too. :)

They will care soon. The CC companies have amped up the requirements. Sites that don't meet the requirements will have their CC charging privileges revoked. Starts in a few days.

I've had my card hacked several times over the past few years. Regardless of how it happened, it always started with a purchase under $10 by the thief. I check my account online every day or two, contact the bank, and have had no problem with them erasing the charge and sending me a new card free.

They almost always start with a small charge, to make sure the card has money on it, before going for the big bucks. I don't know about other banks, but I've never had any hassle with them forgiving fraudulent charges, so I don't worry too terribly much. And unless its payday I never have more than $100 anyway [emoji23] so I guess that helps

You could always do the prepay card, but some sites won't allow them. The other option is a separate bank account or credit card used only for online purchases, because then when you've purchased there's no money to steal.

Also, credit cards usually have better fraud protection than bank cards

Good Evening Army. All this talk of CC Fraud I just checked, no discrepancies. Isn't the 'Information Highway' grand ? All of your personal information, including financial info, SSI, Personal Opinions (Facebook, etc) all plastered up on one giant billboard across the Internet for everyone / anyone to access ? All for the convenience of a few desk jockeys (Private and Public Sector) whom you hope do not have Gambling Debts, Drug Addictions, Fanatical End-of-World Religious Beliefs, Warped Resentments..... and shared with thieves, embezzlers and con-artists who have internet capabilities. Common Criminals can rob you blind in their underwear without moving ten feet from their {Other} pipe. Reinventing the Wheel strikes Again !

The more We Progress, the More I miss Back When......

Yes, Good and Bad.. all go hand in hand. Back when if I wanted to buy something from China, it would take me a year to go and get it and come back, that is if I survived Kublai Khan and the Silk Road...

You did mean, back when you were a wee laddie right?!
