I like my health care package... no monthly expenses... only spend money when I see a Dr.

when I worked at Intralox, they pulled 220$ a check ( 440 a month) for insurance.... never used it for 6 yrs... ummm thats 31K$ spent on unused health care for myself.... imagine the nice car I could have had....

I figger I spent $46,800 on health insurance over the last 13 years and probably tallied up $2,000 maximum in health bills. I feel like coming down with a major disease to get revenge.

there is a person I know who has an issue with his heart... has a pump to keep him alive, he has stated that Medicare etc has spent over 1.2 million on him and he is still on the list to get a replacement/donor heart... he guesses there will be another 1.7 million to be spent before a donor/replacement will be available and surgery completed.... so eventually "Medicare/cade" will invest over 3 million .....

I think HSA's (Healthcare Spending Accounts) will become more popular in the next years. Is that what you have BK? My job offers it as an option. If you don't use the funds it just keeps rolling over and you take the account with you if you leave the company. Of course there are maximums etc... It didn't fit my needs at this time but I like the idea of it.
