Do you think he has the flu IG? It's running rampant around here. Not us personally.. yet.

Yes for sure...we both had our flu shots so he's getting along better than others we've talked to. I do believe that getting the flu shot helps you get over it faster even if it can't prevent it totally. I'm beginning to wonder if we should get Shingles shots? There sure doesn't seem to be anything more painful and I hear about people getting them so much more often these days.

anyway.... was getting ready to go to work this morning.... and there is a hissing noise coming from the laundry/utility room... WTH?? walk back there and find that the watersoftener had fallen thru the floor and broke the supply waterline going to it.... water spraying all over the wall, floor, everywhere...

come to find out, the line had been leaking for quite some time, allowing the wood to become wet, rotten and finally reach a point of weight load failure.....

so I spent ( uugh ) 200$ on materials and 7 hours replacing the floor and supporting substructure.....and not to mention the lost hours( payed) of work...
expensive day....

and... the cost of nails... 50$ for a box of 2000 and that was the small box.... no wonder why building a house of 1500 sqr ft costs 150K... sheesh

and how did Yall's day go?? :)

I was going to get a shingles shot this fall. Then I found out my insurance wouldn't cover one dime on it. The price was much higher than in the past. It was like 215 dollars if I remember right. It seems like just a couple of years ago it was 100 dollars. Well, I hope I don't get shingles. That would be awful. My mom's medicare covers that kind of thing. (I am pretty sure she told me they got most, or all of it)

Orange Roughy. I know there is something that is not good about that fish, I don't wanna know. It is the only fish I like. So please, no one burst my little bubble. Thanks in advance :p

Nothing at all wrong with Orange Roughhy..It's not a farmed fish like Tilapia..Bottom feeders in a farm pond all crammed together isn't very good.

Tater was hungry when he got home from work and was digging around for a couple cans of old nassy tuna..so I made my Daddys WWII S.O.S.
He substituted chipped beef with hamburger and fresh milk and a bit of water instead of the GI canned milk. Also toast substituted for crackers. They also used crackers instead of a bit of flour. I've been eating that stuff since I got off the boob. :)

I can here him now.."No sense making it like us GI's did..I'm not in a fox hole." ;)

I heard the same thing Always. The boys got their vaccines but DH and I did not. Sounds like it may not help anyway.

Best to you and your hubby IG. I think a shingles vaccine is a great idea. I tried to talk Mom into getting one but she's stubborn. I understand shingles is very, very painful.

There's some new flu going around .. I heard on the news children and old folks should really get a shot. It's not the super flu yet..but a strain that has mutated and is killing folks..Guess I best get an appointment for a shot.

Yes you should...again you might still get the flu but not as badly. We get them every year since we work with the public..never know if someone coming in is sick or not:ohmy:

Are you serious!!! 6:30AM? It's not even light yet. And I'll have to be up at 5:30AM to make that (with your biscuit and all). I'll be up till midnight tonight and I'll have to crawl back in bed when I get back home and I got tons of stuff to do tomorrow. Good grief Charlie Brown!!! What kind of life do you truckers live?

You make it to Wake Forest/Raleigh/Durham every couple of months. How about making it next trip at a time when the rest of the world is alive? I think it would be cool to stop by when you're in town. :)

It ain't easy but the pay is good. ;)

I shouldn't have read The Stand..It terrified me because microbes are mother natures way of thinning out the population.
*see the Black Plague .
