Robin, while I'm thinking of it, if you have time when you go to Nags Head go see the Lost Colony on Roanoke Island.

Sounds like it would be a nice touristy thing to do with whomever is interested as a group :)

Good morning Army :)

I remember my grandmother and grandfather had their own twin (?) beds in their master bedroom. I remember thinking that was odd, when I was a kid. Still kinda do.

My stepmom and dad had separate rooms, thought that was odd. Still kinda do.

Reading all of your posts, I guess I understand a bit better. I am with April, I like having a warm body next to me. Even though we don't go over the center (gotta love a king size bed) it is still comforting to hear someone next to you.

Ahh, but I do hear someone next to me. He purrs. :p:thumb:

I haven't been there in about a hundred years, but if you're at all into American history, Robin (or unsolved mysteries!), you should enjoy it. :)

@DavidOH : Your photos here always improve my day. Thank you so much!!

My AC condensing unit crapped out. I just replaced the fan motor a couple years ago so I don't think that is it. My next best guess is the capacitor but I can't test it because I don't have a fancy meter that measures micro ferrets. BK let me borrow yours. :)

hmmm new motor? didnt replace the cap? how old is the relay? 80% of the time when a condensor fan quits working, its the relay. If it comes down to the nitty gritty, take a window fan and place it over the A/C unit, leave it on ( running), when the compressor comes on, the window fan will pull just enuf air to keep the coils "working" until real repairs can be completed. As the compressor is running, listen to it, if it sounds like it is running hard, get a garden hose and spray the coils with water and see if the compressor noise lessens. Most of the newer meters have Cap measure capabilities, comes in handy. :)

Good Morning Army. Another very busy day awaits.
Bronze, I hope you get that A/C fixed. The combination of Heat and Humidity is coming on strong, I think we've pushed close to 90*F a couple of times here in the Piedmont. Today should be mid-80's, but then again they have a lot of trouble calling the weather here.

Have a Safe and Blessed Day
