Well darn.. Haft way through Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D my internet dropped to under 5Mbps. Guess I'll have to watch it again on demand in couple days.. It's back now... Went into the router settings while I was checking for the problem and gave the Roku high priority. Been looking at signing up with a VPN as well.

LA, I do not go near the bees! I got one sting last summer on my forearm, and it was red and swollen from my wrist to my elbow for almost a week.

Fat bombs recipe tips: Use parchment paper to line a small baking dish (or a silicone mold if you have one, I do not). I add sliced almonds and unsweetened shredded coconut to mine, I do not measure that part. Top with sea salt, don't forget this-it really brings out the flavor of the chocolate for me.

Turned out yummy! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Other than forgetting to line the dish with parchment per your very smart tip  - it was pretty easy. Hardest part was shelling the pistachios without eating them all as I went.

These are creamy, just sweet enough, and intensely chocolate! Coconut oil has grown on me from my daily smoothies and it’s so healthy! No more Milky Way bars! (Which I quit buying a year ago.)

@Hulamoon - My potential 3 am emergency craving is covered!

My luck has been epic this week. 4 am and I get a front row spot at the Alexander Hamilton in Secaucus NJ? Stop it, trucking gods. You're going to expect me to pay for this eventually.

Anyhow, I had to deliver in North Bergen NJ, which is literally straight across the Hudson River from Midtown Manhattan. I turn down the side road to get into this place and there's a deer standing in the road. Guess he was lost. Anyhow, it was 3 am with no traffic out so I just stopped and let him run around until he found an escape route.

More randomness. I love old truck stop signs. Here's a classic from yesterday afternoon.

Good Morning Army. Finding a parking spot on a Friday Night is usually a lot easier than say .. early Tuesday Morning. I really don't do much of that anymore. No dispatcher. Load list is first come, first serve. Home six to seven nights a week. Our #1 customer, Lowe's Home Improvement, keeps us along the I-77 corridor. Akron to Columbia, usually within a hundred miles east or west of that. A few years back a fire wiped out a pressure treating plant up north, so we were hauling to Westfield, MA. Overnight and back. The computers won't let us do that anymore. Hope you get home soon.

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

WOW cable is my isp. The Roku was buffering bad due to the slow speed. The slow down only lasted about 30 minutes
Yeah, it happens now and again. Got to thinking the reason why I get cable TV free on my Roku is because the cable signal is married with the wifi signal on my Roku so it knows it's me.

I’m enjoying your random stories! Being here on the Big Thread with truckers gives me a whole new gratitude for all of you. Although I do still get white knuckled on the highway when I’m boxed in by y’all.

Those old truck stops were salvation when I moved cross country. God bless ‘em.

Much, much easier. And if you ever run over Xmas, you can park wherever you want. 34 hour restart on the fuel island? Go for it. Lol.

I’m enjoying your random stories!

Thank you. Today, so many chain truck stops are mirror images. It's refreshing to get out of the box every now and then.

this niteshift stuff sux.... only had 10 runs this week, most of them short local runs ( which dont pay much at all) o_O

I've been getting short runs too, but I inexplicably started the week with a Budweiser load that paid $3.44 a mile. I thought it was a mistake at first. Without that this would be a week to forget, especially with the tolls up here in the Northeast.
