Sooo....if I was to go back in time about 100 years and get married and have a kid (boy) and he would have had a son who also had a son (who turns out to be me)..... Would I be my own great-grandfather?????? ;)
No. You would still be you, and he would be him. He wouldn't replace you. Your family tree with him would only be tied to the genealogical line you started when you time traveled. You today would have no line back to you 100 years ago.

oppps got started... so, If I went back and had "started" the line I would still be me in both senses... I would have existed after my birth and up to the point I disappeared during the pre travel time... and I would have existed in the past after my disappearence and stayed in the past till I died... or if I was lucky enuf, to see myself as a great grandchild...
paradoxes abound ;)

Welcome to Raleigh. It's a gorgeous 77 degrees now.
If you have a Budweiser, I brought there. When you don't like it, I didn't make it.

I'm in Kenly now. Have to go load some pork in Tar Heel tomorrow and take it out to Kansas City.

Released from Doctor's care, went down to the Yard to turn in release. Fueled, pressure washed and inspected my truck. Someone relieved me of my ladder and tarps while I out, replaced them. And sprayed the entire interior with disinfectant until it was dripping off the dash, steering wheel and gear shifter. Will try to make time for a more thorough cleaning tomorrow.
Supposed to be sleeping, have to get up at midnight. Been in and out of bed since 3:00 this afternoon, so I am at least resting. Day run up to Roxboro and back, stopping at a mill in Mt. Gilead along the return. Mamaw is happy, for now. Let's see how happy she is when the alarm goes off at midnight ...
