the wifey bought some Pall Mall ciggies ( PM menthol 100s) and I noticed something "different" about them... the filter is .150 inches longer than a standard 100 ciggie filter... so that means one would get about 18.75 ciggies per pack.... no wonder why they are "cheaper" o_O

20X.15= 3"

Not unlike what they did with coffee where the price stayed about the same, but the bags went from 16 oz to 12 oz.

Definitely a white turkey feather moment! Where the heck did that come from? I would have been afraid to go through that cloud of smoke.

Good morning Army.

Hula  thanks for the hug!

I hope the sadness is lifting and that your hands are feeling better today. :)

I was just in Boston last week. I'm originally from Connecticut, and I can tell you this weather is atypical for this time of year. They're getting February in April. Lol.

That being said, Boston is a great city. What schools is she looking at?
Hey! I’m from CT as well.

I wanted her to get a good dose of the cold so I was happy for the cold weather. We looked at Boston College, Boston University and Northeastern (Harvard and MIT for fun). She liked BC.

Then we went to Villanova and down to DC to Georgetown and GWU. She loved Nova. First choice remains Duke (which is so hard to get into, it’s a long shot).

Finally home. Sorry for the delayed response, we were busy!

No Yale? lol Sounds like a great trip.

So this thread has one more Connecticut Yankee than King Arthur's court.
No, I wanted to get the heck thru the city ASAP. We traveled on a very rainy day and got a late start. Having lived in AZ for the last 16 years my rain driving comfort level has decreased (and my tolerance for the NJ turnpike). One of my best friends lives in Alexandria, VA so we stayed with her the last 3 nights. Went to Mount Vernon, her home is actually GW old farm land. So I’d say we saw the nicer side of DC as we used Uber and headed back to VA when the sun went down. Really was a great time

Thursday was Mamaw's Birthday, so Daughter and SIL took us out to their favorite Smokehouse Restaurant. Most of which I can no longer eat. But I did indulge with some bacon wrapped jalapeno appetizers before settling for Smoked Salmon, served on a bed of smoked corn with diced tomato and something else on top (whatever it was, it got scraped off). Delicious and very filling.

Yes, I’m from Glastonbury, I’ve been gone a long time though.
There was a girl from Connecticut who used to do NET Eliquid. She was from Storrs, I believe. Maybe it was Tolland. Somewhere over by UCONN. Anyhow, she extracted the flavors from whole cigars. Perdomo, Alec Bradley, La Gloria Cubana, Romeo Y Julieta and the like. It was some pretty good stuff. I forget the name of her line, but she shut it down a few years back.

Anyhow, I was just vaping my Dark Horse in the Squape R and it made me think of that.

I thought your wife vaped. My parents used to smoke Pall Mall for a very long time. My mom quit probably over ten years ago. Both of them chain-smoked, especially at parties. I used to smoke Marlboro red. Then for my health, I went to the Lights. Then the price made me to go to some cheapo cigarettes. Finally I said to heck with this, I'm quitting. I toughed it out about 3 days. I was about to give up, and then decided to give vaping a try. I had tried a regular e-cig from the corner store, when I hadn't fully quit. Well after meeting you all on here, I have learned what works for me, and which juice I prefer.

The sun is out today. I found some old sunscreen here. I thought I threw it away. I put it on my face, and hands, but forgot my lips. It is going to be a long two weeks I'm afraid.

she does vape but when she gets wigged out she smokes a bit too.... shes getting ready to go in to get her port taken out ( she dislikes any kind of surgery that requires being totally out for )

As per the innerwebs...

On January 5, 1858, Waterbury native Ezra J. Warner invented the first US can opener. The idea of storing food in cans dates back almost 50 years earlier when Peter Durand of England patented a can made of wrought iron with a tin lining.
Today a smart phone is outdated in 3 months. Back then you canned food and waited 50 years to open it.
