I called my agent and they did the rest. Took 60 seconds on the phone. Guy showed up and was done in about an hour. No bill, nothing. Rates did not go up either. It's against the law in this state to drive with a busted windshield so I think the ins cos are supposed to replace windshields easily, quickly, and at no charge. Could be wrong about that.

I got two big cracks in my windshield from the heat. I had a sun visor thing in the dash, but it cracked anyway. I asked my insurance agent about it, I would need to pay my deductible to get it fixed. Needless to say it has not been replaced. It used to be free here, but not anymore. I also had to pay a guy to repair tiny cracks a very long time ago. A truck ahead of me had a rock fly off his tire, right on to my windshield.

Back 25 years or so, you could drive up to a place here and they would replace your windshield for 100 bucks. Now who knows what a brand new one costs these days. I know I can't afford one.

I wake up every night...at least once. Very rare for me to sleep all the way thru the night. Some people are up several times a night to take a leak. That isn't my problem. But I wake up for some reason. I'll turn the ballgame on or something.

Hey DD , if you're around . Try taking a look at Manjaro Deepin for a totally different desktop , run it live off of a usb stick just to take a look . It doesn't suit my sense of organization but it's dam sure an elegant , really good looking desktop .

Messed with laptop today. Still converting Office 2000 files to Office 2010 files. They are different file types. Also cleaned out a bunch of deadwood, ran a system image, made a reboot disc, and backed up files. I'm in good shape. Good time for the thing to blow up.

Went to bed at 11:30 last night. Woke up at 2:30, but managed to go back to sleep after a while.

Woke up again at 4:30, wide awake. No sense in laying in bed when I know I won't go back to sleep.

This happens all the time now. When I was young, I could sleep like a baby. No more.
