Chemo cancelled this week due to intestinal pain caused by the chemo. Giving me a tiny break. Not a good day today :(

Back at it next week. *sigh*
Will be doing a lower dose in hopes that it won't be as severe
(((hugs)))

You know, looking at the positive side (yes, there is a positive side)...I find it encouraging they have the latitude to administer a lower dose next time. Tells me they don't feel they have to attack the cancer with both barrels ablazin' to get on top of it.

    Yes, still had blood drawn.

Soooooo, I didn't want to say anything until I had a more definitive answer. I had sent my records to another doctor. This one is more aggressive and an oncology surgeon, not a general surgeon, and he has looked over my records and we are going to proceed with HIPEC surgery. OMG I am so happy and thankful for this hope that he has given me.

Tomorrow morning I will call his office to schedule the consultation and get everything set in motion.

Tonight I'm having a glass of wine to celebrate.

The Doctor is in Flint Michigan and only about forty five minutes from my son's house. We will have to fly cause hubby hates those long drives. LOL

I will be asking the doc if I still get chemo or just drop the Avastin. Whew. I'm on a roller coaster of emotion right now but so very happy yet scared. It is a Major surgery that will take five hours at the Minimum. Can go much longer and the recovery time is longer too. It will be so worth it to get this cut out of me.

All right. Someone stole a day from me. It can’t be Thursday when it’s only supposed to be Wednesday.

    ..... toe tap .....

Ya know what? That’s one day closer to Friday.

    All is forgiven. :D

Senility makes the week go by so much quicker.... ;)

@Desert Dweller . If you haven;t done so , follow the instructions followed by a reboot to get the latest drivers on Linux Mint . Mint is too conservative when it comes to graphics drivers IMO . I have the game up and running in Manjaro and performance is better due to drivers , gonna update Mint later .

Great news! Why is this doc willing to do the HIPEC but that "board" was not? A little confused.

Wonderful! I am sending up prayers of gratitude and prayers for miraculous healing.

I am also sending up prayers of thanks... for other stuff. :)

The first doc wasn't an oncology surgeon. Just a General and has a board to answer to or get approval from?

Could be my tumors shrunk enough, in this time frame from starting the new chemo, that allows the surgery to happen?

I honestly don't know the answer but I do know that surgery is the only chance I really have. The mutation almost guarantees that the new chemo will stop working in time.

My saving grace is that it is not in my lymph nodes.
