Hard boiled eggs in potato soup.. you had me until that..![]()
Another lovely day in the neighborhood for me.
It isn't stopping with us, it rarely does. Severe thunderstorms, flood warnings, flash flood watch, tornado warnings, hail. Yes, it is become a once a week ordeal.
give us a review when done ( after the first beer... cuz after 3 everything tastes good) ...
also... whats the guinness blonde like???
Ugh. That stinks. I’m sure you’re quite sick of it all. I know I would be. Hang in there and stay safe. Please keep checking in here so we know you are okay.
I'd try just about anything once.. but girl.. that just doesn't sound good.. the butter, cream, potatoes, etc I'm in!LOL! It’s something I grew up eating. The eggs are sliced. The yolk ends up making it thick and rich tasting. There’s also lots of butter and some milk or cream added at the end. In this version you don’t mash up the potatoes. They are soft chunks instead.![]()
It is the same patch. No hallucinations, but I was warned of that side effect.LOL! Don’t operate any heavy machinery today.
Seriously, I’m glad you’re still okay. Do you know how long the pathology reports will take?
I had an ear patch long ago for vertigo. It was scopalomine and it gave me hallucinations. I’m hoping that’s not what’s in your patch. That was an icky experience.
Feels good to have taxes done, eh?Hello Army. Turbo Tax done. Hate Taxes.
Rain on and off all weekend. We've had free HBO and Cinemax all week, so I've been recording old movies. Mamaw thinks I waste time watching movies I've already seen, but if I like them I can watch them over. She just shakes her head, goes into another room and watches Perry Mason or Matlock
April, good to hear your procedure went well. Hopefully by the end of the weekend you'll have your bearings strait and be fully functional again.
Have a Safe and Blessed Weekend![]()
Have you considered moving to a desert like Phoenix or something? They get like 5” of rain a year.View attachment 809081
You got that right. The worst part already came by. At least I hope that was it. Now it is circling back like a freaking land cyclone. I am completely worn out from bailing water, and sweeping it off the top of the ground. After the more severe storm passed, the sun came out for a brief time. I decided to drive to the river and take a look. It was flooding for sure. There used to be a cliff you could see, so you could gauge the level by eyeing it. The cliff is under water totally, and the river is flooding the low land area next to the river. Some of the creeks here are flooding, and some are maybe a foot from the top of the bank. I almost had 3 hours of sleep last night, and I was at it until almost 4p I guess. So I did have a break, and had supper. I'm trying to decide if I will stay up most of the night again. The water was flowing from my front yard onto my porch, even though I was bailing it off the side as fast as I could.
She had to go at some point.So.. our bonus girl moved out this past Tuesday, over some hurt feelings that I caused, but things that needed to be said. She had a good place to go, so I'm not worried about her well being. We are on speaking terms and not angry with each other. I told her before she left she needed to be very sure of her decision, as I am not playing the back and forth game. She was sure.
I cleaned out what she left behind and she picked it up on Friday. I'm pretty OCD about things being in order at my house.. so it feels good to have less stuff. It was also good to spend time today with just my two.

Onions and potatoes go together! Like bacon and eggs..You are cracking me up! It’s kind of a Pennsylvania Dutch thing. Although I found out there’s an Irish version that beats raw eggs and then drops them into the boiling soup, like egg drop soup.
Does it helps that there’s also onions in it, or does that make it worse?![]()
Mmmm the key lime sounds good. I made me some lemon bars earlier today. Love those too.okay... let me add to the "hunger Games"
lobster boiled in the true fashion of the south ( like boiled crabs, shrimp, crawfish) with the small red potatoes boiled in the seasoning and corn too...
once the potatoes are done you take the cloves of garlic ( which were boiled in the spices) and mash them into the potatoes and load it all up with butter and re-mash... just the ultimate nummy potatoes
the corn sucks up all the goodness... and the lobster ( salt water crawfish) were perfect...
and for desert... Key Lime Pie ( homemade by the wifey) with a shot of Chambord... now Im suffering from food Coma................![]()
