This weekend in Vegas it’s the annual EDC show. Essentially electronic music, lights and drugs you’ve never heard of. They used to have it at the end of June. An outdoor festival. In 110+ degree weather.

Every year there’s some crazy story that comes out of it. This year’s story is a girl so messed up that she drove to a casino and demanded valet service.

The problem? She had no tire on the front right of her vehicle! She was driving ON THE RIM and tearing up paving as she went.

You gotta love Vegas.

Here’s the video on Facebook - if it lets you watch.

I don't what EDC is but it seems to attract a fine group of humanity.

Just a quick pop in from me, I’m still feeling awful, getting the nausea squared away but a multitude of other side effects. Most annoyingly light sensitive esp to computer screens, which trigger headache’s that I imagine are similar to migraines.
I hope everyone is well and maybe in a few more days I’ll get a little break with the SE before my second session.

April, try to stay away from EMF sources. My grandma always had peppermints when she felt a little nauseated. She kept them in her closet. I have no idea why, maybe cause the grandkids couldn't reach them there. :)
I hope you feel better asap. We have been having solar flare activity, that might've made things worse for you. I haven't looked at the latest data though.

I looked back in the history of the storms from this morning. New Orleans does have one of the remnants of storms that went through here.

I am going to watch the grandboys today. My daughter wants to go to a wedding. I hope they are in a good mood today. One of the babies is teething pretty bad. They still don't have any teeth showing. It is about time they do! The bigger baby is just about to do a full crawl. He can drag himself and motivate that way. He can get on his hands and knees and rock, but hasn't figured out the crawl all the way yet. The smaller baby can get on his hands and knees, and do a weird turn around. Before you know it they will be wrestling. They are both quite strong.

Wow, and the business professor said...

The situation doesn't necessarily mean we are "throwing money away", says economist Severin Borenstein, a professor at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business.

"But it probably is an indication that there are some serious problems in the way we're running the grid and the way we're making investment decisions."

Berkeley, splains it, maybe he's at that EDC thing and on some of these drugs we haven't heard of.

If they are paying to give away power then by all means please CA run a line, or very heavy duty extension cord as seen in some countries, to my house. ;)

At the very least disassemble some panels and ship them here and I will put them to good use.

Every year here, farmers shoot propane cannons off at irregular intervals to keep birds and deer out of the fields. The uptown city crews who moved in to give us some urban sophistication want to have a "noise ordinance" because it disturbs the tranquility of their new found home. They also object to tractors, tobacco wagons and other implements on the highways and single lane rural roads, going slow and pulling over is tough on a Beemer. They are all for the rural life so long as we do it in a way that will meet their needs.

The county commissioners, so far, have resisted the urge to roll over and give up. These are used for a few weeks late spring; it beats shooting the birds and deer, digging a hole, covering up the animals and then remaining silent.

seriously... they want to move into a rural/country style of living ( so called peace and quiet) but have no idea of the wildlife "issues"... hell, I live in suburbia Kenner and still have to deal with raccoons, oppossums, CATS, rats mice nutria, an occasional armadillo, "tree rats" ( i cant spell skwerlz ) ... if one is to move "to the country" expect things to be different... very different. o_O

you may want to get some "flesh toned" finger nail polish... in about 3-4 weeks the nail beds will go disturbingly dark... ( one of the side effects the wifey didnt like) :(

Four of the last five weekends it rains.
Now it's bright and sunny and in the 90"s. But I finally have my little 500 sq. ft. Hobby Garden planted. Maybe Mamaw will get tomatoes this year.
She tried another tomato plant in a pot this year, and it's already dead.
My tomatoes and potatoes are starting to flower. She politely doesn't say anything.....

you and my wifey must have that Green Thumb thing going on... she can take a plant out of the ground, chop it into 22 pieces and throw it all over the yard and it starts growing... I , on the other hand can kill a plastic plant... ;)
