Happy Easter everyone! Nothing going on here but I do have the day off from work, so that’s nice. Oldest came home for the weekend so that’s a nice Easter bonus :)

Hope everyone has a nice day and figures out some creative way to be with family and loved ones.

CJ.. prayers for your mom.
Thank you. Gonna call her here in a bit and see how she's holding up.

why is it that some people are so compelled to react to a stimulus that they HAVE to stop what they are doing to "reply" to that stimulus??? for example, the wifeys phone rings, the wifey HAS to answer it, and if its my phone thats ringing, she will hand it to me so it can be answered, and if I dont want to answer my own phone she gets all wiggy that I didnt answer it. And even better yet, if someone knocks on the door, she has to go see who's at the door ( even if it means getting out of a warm and cozy bed, still in her jammies) while Im walking towards the door to answer it?? I just dont understand... o_O:blink:

and one more thing that mystifies me... when the wifey answers her phone she will say "hello"... and if there is no reply on the other end she will say hello several more times and then hang up... if I say hello and nothing is said in return within 3 seconds, I hang up... I dont play the hello, hello, hello, hello game ;)
If I don't know who's calling, I never answer, unless my mom's in the hospital because one time it was a nurse telling me they were taking her to ICU.

The door, hubby thinks he has to answer AND be nice to whoever's on the other side of it. I bought a sign a couple years ago to hang on our door. It says "No soliciting. No exceptions. If we do not know you do not bother us." I love it. I did have fun the other year when hubby's job was trying to unionize and they sent union thugs to our door. I can't type here what I told them but it felt good to chase them off my property.

baseball sized hail??? that will put a dent in the roof of your car... I remember when I was about 10 or so and a hail storm came thru, it lasted around 20 minutes and in the process it removed about 75% of the leaves from the trees in the area... middle of the summer and the trees were nekkid... and the banana tree leaves looked like pom-poms... lots of car body damage too...

The hail I speak of, not only cracked your windshield, but broke through the whole glass. 4-11-20 hail Del RioTX.JPG
I saw the video of the guy driving in that. People were pulling off the road. You cannot drive in that. If you were stuck out in the open, it could be deadly. I did not find that video by itself. I saw it last night. The guy was hooting and hollering like he was at a rodeo, which was odd. But it showed broken windows in the vehicle.

yesterdays "predicted" weather report was full of doom and gloom, tornados, 60+mph gusts, downed trees and power lines, all that scary stuff... about 7pm or so we got a rain storm that dumped about 1/2", had gusts up to about 20-30 mph, and lasted not even 20 minutes... TBH, I was dissapointed as to how "bad" the storm was as compared to how it was described earlier that day... I surveyed the yard and we had a few dead branches fall from the oak tree... thickest branch may have been 1" in dia.

Good Morning Army. Hoping everyone in the Deep South made it through last night alright. Monroe LA got hit pretty hard according to the news. We get whatever is leftover today.

if its the stuff that hit us last nite, you'll end up with a puff of wind and 2 drops of rain...
