Morning!

It must be true that everyone’s baking bread right now. Nearly everyone is out of bread flour, even the mill I bought from a few weeks ago. Found a mill in central NC that still had some for sale. They are so busy that they need 10 weekdays to get to your order and ship it. They only sell organic, so it costs twice as much. Shipping is twice as much too for that cross-country journey. Our friend wanted to buy this time and she was okay with it.

Going through about 5 lbs per week, between baking rolls for us and for J’s parents. Also for feeding the sourdough. I’d open a bread shop after everything settles, but the hours would suck. :)
I gave up on bread flour.

You can try the one we just ordered from. They sell bulk and 2 lb bags. Just don’t order both in a single order. They want them separate to help their processing speed. Shipping should be a lot less for you. They are in central NC.

Take a little of that extra change from your roof flimflam and treat yourself.

Definitely an early to bed, early to rise kind of business. The odds in favor of healthy and wise, quite good. The odds in favor of wealthy, a little sketchy. Tough business.
Would you do mail order, if so, I will be a charter customer.

I think I’d favor solely doing mail order. You can be my first customer!

Even with my tech business, I avoided hiring. Employees open a whole other aspect to business that I didn’t have time or energy to deal with. But given the state of things now, it would be great to give people work who need it and who might actually be more help than hindrance. So we will see.

When I had a private office, I gave up on a secretary in 1994. I did regret it periodically but those periods were rare. Computers changed everything in my business and I was an early adopter. I had one of the first in my area to computerize, mid-eighties. Employees are very costly beyond the mere salary, dependability can be a problem. I finally just opted out.

The next Great American Bread Company brought to us, the fortunate consumers, by Waters-Bronze, Inc serving customers from coast to coast.

I love this idea!

And curbside pick up. :)

Agreed. I'll even call you General Boss. And it can be Bronze Waters. I'm easy to get along with. :)

Dang bird keeps building a nest in my house plant I have hanging outside. Happens most years. I keep yanking it out and she keeps rebuilding. Just like in real life, females always get their way. I relented. But she’s gonna get a wet azz every time I water the thing.

I'm pretty sure I remember you having this fight with her last year. Just like in real life... males never learn.

Yeah, it’s a battle with no ending. These birds find the craziest places to nest. Hard to believe with miles and miles of forest they can’t find a better place than my pushbroom to build their nest. Must be an overpopulation. They’re already taking over my firewood stacks.

It’s time to open the country again. Not in the hot spots but everywhere else. We can’t remain curled up in the fetal position anymore. With more evidence coming in by the day it appears the death rate is 0.1%. I did the math. That translates into 200,000 deaths if we simply let the virus burn itself out through herd immunity. Hate to reduce everything to numbers but that is small compared to the mass misery that will be caused by economic ruin if we keep this shutdown going.

Im getting the hang of this 3D printing stuff... starting to learn to know what to look for as far as the material layout and such. While Ive been having fun learning about 3D printing and code and Arduinos and all that, the wifey is going wacko being bored to death from the "lockdown" ( as she calls it)... she wonders why I dont come out to the living room and watch TV with her... ummm.. Im not interested in the 24/7 channel of Covid 19 and governments promising the people money that doesnt exist. I had pretty much my fill of the topic the day it started on TV. o_O

And she probably is as interested in your 3D as you are in her COVID24/7, right?

actually she does have an interest in my 3D printing stuff... as in how much it cost... ;)

but as I keep creating piecesparts to repair things around the house and on other things, she likes it even more...

for example, I needed a part for my reloading machine ( a plastic piece that helps control the amount of powder going into thecase), I showed her the cost of it from the website ( 22.95$+ shipping and handling 5.97$ more) she agreed that my "hobby" could be worthwhile... o_O
