If I flip the sun visor down and start putting makeup on then I know my truck will be a reincarnation.

And we will certainly want pics of that. :)

If you need tips on eyeliner and foundation colors, you’ll need to ask the other ladies here. I’m no help to you there. I can tell you from watching others attempt to apply them that false eyelashes are more trouble than they are worth.

Good Morning Army. Urlacher is starting to eat (a little). He attacks the water bowl, so whatever they did is making him thirsty. He can make it up and down steps now, so I walk him around the house a little at a time.

So how do you treat his heart problem?
Good news Pop.

You can't really do much without spending big bucks. Higher protein diet might help. "Playing Ball" is over, he is officially retired from strenuous exercise. Might be more of a leash and walk for 30 minutes or so in the afternoon. But at least he's home, and we still get to spend a little more time with him.

Yeah, you can't shut down a dog completely. Especially those bigger dogs. So a daily walk will be valuable as well as effective. These dogs have to get some exercise or atrophy will take them down quickly.

And the truck will not start with the new PCM. Nice healthy crank but wont start. Cannot even hear the fuel pump come on. Don't even get a check engine light. It's a dud! Called the module joint and to my surprise they answered on a Saturday. Gonna send me another one. So tired of this.

I like their response but on the other hand perhaps they have had this happen before and have a supply of returned item.

These are the horror stories. People get remanufactured (or even new) replacement computers and they just don't work. When you consider all they do it's just a real tricky transplant. Makes me wish we still had carburetors. I'm certain they have many returns. These computers are just too precarious. Not sure where they get their used modules from but he said he could turn it quickly. Maybe I'll get it by the end of next week. Truthfully, my confidence is shot.

I understand, that computer has been a challenge for a long time. I wish the best. It sounds like it must be the luck of the draw when you order one, could be perfect, could be a bomb.
The other day, I was looking in the Tacoma engine bay. I remember my 1960 Flcon straight six - 3 on the column. I could have crawled into the vacant space. I miss messing with Dwell angles, timing lights, points, rebuilding carbs. It was so much fun with a feeling of achievement when finished and the darn thing started and ran. I could spend hours fooling around with the cars and talking engines and all. Now I change plugs, oil, steering fluids and grease the drive shaft, most of the rest is beyond me. I can't even work on my rear breaks because they are involved with an "automatic" locking differential.

Yeah, cars are nothing like they once were. Different animals. Fuel injection was another generation. In many ways it was an epic improvement. In other ways, not so much. As for me, I never enjoyed working on cars. I did it out of necessity. And the older I get, the less I like working on them. That said, if I bought a brand new car I'm pretty certain I could no longer work on them. Way too complicated. I don't think I could even start a brand new car. They don't use keys anymore so I'd be lost.

I agree but I always liked work on cars. I can't any longer, hell, I am not smart enough.

Sorry Papaw that you dog has had issues. I must have missed the original post. Yes, enjoy the time you have left. He has been a great companion for you. You both deserve to have some special moments together. I love my dogs, and they are my constant companions.

we have a "newish" car ( 2009) Smart car... it has 2 computers in it and some of the weirdest wiring Ive ever seen in a car. and as far as the key, its in the center console just behind the shift control between the seats.... why in the world someone thought that putting a key between the seats was a great idea is beyond me... the wifey has a habit of puting her left hand down on the side of the seat when Im driving and sure enuf, she will bump the key and kill the engine... also, sometimes she will put her purse on the console when she is driving and if I move wrong and the purse shifts ( since Im nearly sitting on top of the purse) it will bump the key, again, leaving the car up for a chance of being turned off... and if you have anything in the passenger seat that can move around freely, you can be guarenteed that it will fall over onto the key and kill the engine... as you can tell, its happened too many times already. Nothing like the feeling of going down the interstate and realizing that you are doing 50 mph and give it the gas and nothing happens... good thing cars start in neutral....o_O
