Nothing to add that I can see right now. I’m a bit disoriented. Had no idea it was going to happen (and so suddenly) last night.

For sentimental reasons I’d kinda hate to see the thread name change but I guess it does make sense.

I also see no reason to change the name, and for the same reason.

I think the one drawback to keeping the HHV name is it would suggest people have to be a part of the HHV fraternity to visit the thread. We've heard some of that already from folks reluctant to visit/post here. And seeing HHV is gone there is no need for anyone to be a part of the fraternity (not that there was before but it is still an impression that existed).

Maybe make THE BIG THREAD prominent and put the HHV part in small letters and maybe even indicate it as the former army or something.

I had asked before about merging up all of the Snails threads...it was a no.
But the links to the other threads in your first post are good now as are the links in the first posts of all the others.
One of the system changes a few years back killed all/most links - mess to fix and still finding stuff.

I wasn’t expecting them to work anymore and when they did work last night, I thought ECF had finally implemented a sensible URL redirect system! Instead it was you being quietly helpful.

If you have links since that last big system change your links are good to the HHV Forum in the Archives. Everything is still there and viewable in the Archives
