I'm pretty much off FB. I have a smal private account with just family. After getting this promotion i had to tighten up the privacy.
I noticed that you disappeared. Figured you had your reasons. :)

I do like this forum software and being able to tag someone. Sends an alert usually by email.

I saw this on one of Chak's families Facebook, thought I would share. I scanned the last few pages but did not see anyone mention how he died, seems he died in his sleep of heart failure.

Edit: The actual cause of death reads cardiac arrest while asleep. Just wanted to clarify.

@Robino1 when i read the first sentence of Lori's email a lot of people ran thru my mind as to who had passed. I won't say who ran thru my mind, but Chak was definitely not one of them (either were you), but i figured someone that had faded away over the years.
I int dead yet :p You know what they say! Only the good die young, but grumpy old b……..s live forever.

Thank you for this, Sam. And I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother. Hang in there.

I guess the news of how Chris passed is what we imagined must have happened. It's comforting to know he went peacefully. I just wish he was still with us. This is so hard.

I was listening to some music tonight, and this song by The Subdudes made me think about Chak. Seems very appropriate, and I think it's a beautiful song written for one of the band member's father when he passed on.

Lovely. I also tend to reach for music when I'm sad. It makes it a little better and helps me grieve.

i opted out of that so I really needed that email from Lori. It would have taken a while to have found out.

I'm glad I had your email and remembered that I did. I don't get alerts by email when someone tags me. Don't remember turning it off, but I'm here enough to see my alerts here.

Thanks, things are really hard right now. I had to put my dog Sadie down 2 months ago, she was 16 and pretty much my whole life. Then mom got sick and died very quickly. Now everything is a mess and nothing is certain. I just keep waiting for the next ball to drop......

Oh Samuel, I'm SO sorry to hear that. We know you loved Sadie so much. I remember you posting several photos. David just lost his little pal very recently too. It hurts like heck. Wow. It has been horrible. Do you have any family or good buddies nearby for support?

Again, I'm sorry. That's a lot of loss all at once. I've experienced my fair share of clusters of huge loss. It gets so painful.

I saw this the other day and it made me smile. This does not make our loss trivial. Instead, it's a small ray of perspective that is quite literally true.
