Morning..... Mid 70s and sunny.... Found a lot of water under the kitchen this morning. After taking the insert out I found the lock ring was broken. The metal gave out from to many years of hot and cold expansion. Lowes just happen to have a replacement ring with washers (luckily) and I replaced the poly washer on the PVC connector. Total $7. It wasn't hard to fix after I cleaned up the water. But it still sucked..;)

Yes it could have. The directions said to put plumbers putty on it. But I forgot to get any and I wasn't going back. So I did without it. It has a paper type washer on top and a rubber one on the bottom. If it starts to leak I'll get some on it. It's had a lot of water in it today and it's dry. Plus I did clean it really good before I put it back on...

I love how you’re able to save on the DIY and able to save on parts! Nice job.

Bell and Blonde in the pics, the banana one is tiny and not setting buds yet. I hope it catches up since the one we had last year put out more than we could even use. Tomatoes are growing but cucumber hasn't done much yet. I knew I should have gotten the pickling cuke plant, they produce like crazy.
