OK, continuing with my 20 questions, I see three buttons on Adam's picture (enlarged). Want to guess what those are? And I assume the FIRE button is on the other side near the top? Do you ever accidently push those three buttons when depressing the FIRE button? Also, is it just the way the picture is or is that a beveled profile at the bottom of the lavatube? 12 questions remaining on my allotment.

The two buttons just under the display, right beside each other, are voltage down and voltage up, down is on the left. The button under them is on/off/battery. If you look on the far right, on the side of the tube, just lower than the on/off you can just make out the fire button.
No I never accidentally push those buttons, although that's what the "lock mode" is for, but I never use that. No, it's flat on the bottom. Optical illusion I guess.

Oh yeah, I can see the fire button now. I'll bet you use your thumb don't you? And do your monkey paws mess up that nice, shiny finish or do you have a different finish? 9 questions remaining on my allotment.
Mostly thumb yes, occasionally index finger, but mostly thumb. Mine's flat black. I've heard the chrome ones show fingerprints, so keep a hanky handy if you get one.

Maybe I can rough it up with some 600 grit and paint it. Or just leave it sandy. I'm not into the shiny stuff. I wonder how "removeable" those buttons and led screen is? 8 left.
I've never been bold enough to find that out.
