I've been sitting here for a while trying to find some words and only coming to the conclusion that words at this point will only be to comfort me. My heart is heavy at the thought of losing you, yet glad at the same time that you have such a great faith in The Lord.

I'm at a complete loss for words. I do have one request should anything happen to you, and I do pray that God won't take you anytime soon, will your family please let us know? April said it best, I also pray for peace and love to surround you.

Your humor and presence on this thread are an asset to us. Thank you for keeping us up to date on what you are fighting in your life.

73, I was in the same situation as Robin - trying to think of what to say. Well, I can't say it any better than Robin did. She said it all, and quite well too.

I will pray for you tonight. Life is a journey. Your journey is not over yet. Stay strong and please let us know if we can do anything for you or your family.

Good morning Army.

Checking in again. The latest visit with the liver specialist reveals that there is an invasive cancer of the liver. A transplant cannot be performed due to the nature of the cancer and the likelyhood of cells already spreading into my body, though not detectable. There will be a chemo pill I can take but it will likely only extend my life 4 months over a guesstimate of 6 months survivability. The cancer will not be what does me in but a complete failure of the liver. I am already in an advanced stage of cirrhosis and the liver is failing. I don't know how often I will be visiting the forum but I appreciate all of your support. I have not given up hope that something could change, however.

If you desire more contact info then PM me.

God bless you, Friend. Continue teaching us to be brave. And as Chak said, if you're not giving up, then neither are we!

I really can't do anything better than this. Hell, I can't do close to this good.

You are facing this with amazing strength, and I suppose we know where that comes from. May it stay with you always. God bless, my Pride prays for you and your family and friends.

I am with Chak, no sense quitting now.

I'm waiting at DMV for my daughter to take her written test. She is completely unprepared so I will be surprised if she passes. It's hard to let them make their own choices sometimes! The re-take is free, so I'm letting her lead the way on this one. Hope she surprises me and passes. It smells here.

Sounds like your vacation philosophy is the same as mine. I love bargains, but when I'm on vacation I don't worry about cost. Vacations are rare for me, so I'm not gonna let money stand between me and having a good time.

Cause when we go.....we go BIG!

This is BIG for us. It's not a bargain, it just lets me pay up front for food, resort, beautiful surroundings, great service, R&R. We usually do an excursion or 2. We have done scuba, snorkeling, dolphin swim, zip line, cenote swims. Last time we took a ferry over to Isla Mujeres and got a golf cart for the day to explore the island. We tip the workers very well, as they work extremely hard. We try to go every year because we all love it so much.

This should scare everyone!

My older brother missed one question on his driver's test. When asked what a person should do when a yellow light is showing my brother said, "PUNCH IT!" LMAO! He said well that's what Dad does! Bwahahaha

I asked my son about flying somewhere and he said why would I want to do that?!? He mumbled something about lightning striking and the plane falling and crashing as he walked away. Too funny.....he truly is my son...:p

I saw the baby today.......

Congrats to Chloe, April! Your trips sound just sublime, Bridget:closedeyes:. I've gotta get out of here for some small trip this summer, but I'm just not sure what I'll be up for. I'm already thinking about which relatives live where (admittedly not gonna go BIG, but I'll sure take just GO!).

ETA: RJ, every time you tell us more about your son, he sounds like such a blast:2cool:.

I always thought it meant, "Hurry up before it turns red".

One day about a year ago I got a letter from Wake County. (or was it Raleigh). I open it and there's a picture of my truck at an intersection. I dig into it more and discover I was fined $50 (or was it $100) for entering an intersection during a red light. It snaps the picture the very instant the light turns red. I was no more than one yard from the line. It was an intersection I never go through. If I ever go through it again, I'm going to pull out my revolver and put a bullet right in the center of that camera's eye. :)
