Hey people, I have been away for quite a few months. I used to get stuff fairly frequently but I was quite the procrastinator and the shipping times led me to grabbing stuff locally. Whats the current turnaround time averaging on orders these days? I placed an order (50ml bottles now I see that helps my bulk ordering). Took me awhile to find my old goto juices with some of the name changes ;).

This thread will keep you up to date on the processing time: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/hhv-army/374650-order-ship-times-28.html

2 - 3 business days from order date to ship date. :)

I see Bronze beat me :)

You lost me at Sludge

Haha I love that stuff. I was hooked on what I assume is now "Legend" for quite awhile before that. I actually won a contest long ago from HHV which is how I ever even tried anything they had. I had cycled through much of the catalog, but I always came back to the tobaccos.

Good Morning Army!!

I woke up this morning to find that there was a Party going on last night. A few of my boys decided to check the Provari out. They all approved.

haha, looks nice, Frantic9k!!! "Don't forget to wipe off the mouth piece."

Good morning, Army:)!

**********

Grrrr on behalf of those in the midst of the traveshamockery:mad:!
It looks like I'm going to me teaching Of Mice and Men to a church group of senior citizens:). Pretty excited (and nervous) about that; I've never taught adults.

Thrilling Thursday vapes to all :vapor:!

Excerpt from a Scots poem by Robert Burns, "To a Mouse, on Turning Her Up in Her Nest with the Plough" 1785.

But Mousie, thou art no thy lane,
In proving foresight may be vain:
The best-laid schemes o' mice an' men
Gang aft agley,
An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,
For promis'd joy!

Still thou are blest, compared wi' me!
The present only toucheth thee:
But och! I backward cast my e'e,
On prospects drear!
An' forward, tho' I canna see,
I guess an' fear!

Standard English translation:

But little Mouse, you are not alone,
In proving foresight may be vain:
The best laid schemes of mice and men
Go often awry,
And leave us nothing but grief and pain,
For promised joy!

Still you are blessed, compared with me!
The present only touches you:
But oh! I backward cast my eye,
On prospects dreary!
And forward, though I cannot see,
I guess and fear!

John Steinbeck got the title from this poem. :D

The best laid plans of mice and men oft go astray.

Gulp. Was that commentary on my upcoming new venture:unsure:?!

:p

I'm an early bird with you this morning, Lion; a fine day to you, sir!

On the contrary, see the last stanza in poem above.

Furthermore, since the book was written in 1937 and based on Steinbecks own experiences before and during the great depression, I think many will relate to it. Are we headed in that direction now? :2cool:

You can do it, Beckums, 'cause YOU ROCK!!! rockon-smiley-face.gifband-smiley-face.gif

I followed the thread and I also heard, after it got locked down, that some people had received their orders (quite possibly, I got it from the same source as you, I don't know). However, I have no idea who has received their gear and I am not about make assumptions as to who it was based on what little info I have. As far as I know, those peeps who got their gear were in the top 20 on the list. That is if she is shipping in a logical order, i.e. first ordered, first shipped...

For me, I'm used to waiting for stuff and it goes back to about the time I came to Thailand. I can remember my parents ordering stuff from Sears & Roebucks or or J.L. Bean catalogues, you know - before they had internet and tracking numbers and such. They would make their order and just forget about it till it arrived in the mail.

Something else I think about is, what if that was me hosting that CoOp? How would I handle all that had supposedly happened in my personal life? Giving her the benefit of the doubt, I put myself in her shoes and ask myself - would I have done any better? You have to admit, that was an awfully big wrench Kanger threw into the works at the beginning and I'm guessing it threw Hibi for a loop. She didn't know what to do after that. I'm not trying to defend her blindly, just asking my self, could I have done better?

Probably. At least, I'd get a weekly SNAFU report out to the CoOp members. I am not going to let it get my BP up worrying about it.

End of ramble. *Chak steps down off podium

EDIT: I'll see my order when it gets hear.

Chak, you and I are friends. If you had not checked in every three days like the rules state, I would have been on you like white on rice. If the infractions had happened once or twice, fine. It was the norm, week after week. If they don't enforce the rules, then they are not rules. They are just guidelines.

I don't expect any more. I tolerate no less. As far as I am concerned, now Joker is culpable, since members have gotten no updates since it was locked by him. The rules are not being followed, period. Absolutely unacceptable.

It is exactly what Errol said was gonna happen. I immediately responded directly to him in the thread, and several of the Hibi-toadies said it was "just a joke".

But now I hear people have gotten their stuff, and we are waiting weeks and weeks.

And just because some people have gotten their stuff, that means that they are "hibi-toadies"? Again, what are their names? Where do they line up in the list? Sorry, I have to agree to disagree. Insufficient data.

Edit: written before reading your post above, Edd. See next post to view reply.

Thanks for the encouragement, Frantic! Thankfully, I know that book like the back of my hand, but it's been a LONG time since I've taught a whole room of people, so EEK! I'm a REOnaut, no plans for a ProVari for me, but I'm happy for all my very satisfied ProVarinati friends. Just go easy on the "just get a..." in the New Members' Forum. The Ego Twist/Vision Spinner still makes a mighty fine starting point, no?

YAY, another bottom feeder!!! Loves me some BF vapes. :D
I just wish I had started on a Twist or a Spinner. Coulda saved a bundle! I usually recommend those to the newbies.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from, Edd, believe me. Seems like everything that could possibly go wrong with a CoOp, did just that on this one (if we are to believe all that happen actually did happen) starting with the communication breakdown. What are the odds of it happening again?

I think living over here has mellowed me out a lot - it's just too damn hot to do anything fast!

Chak and Edd,

I've been following your discussion, and those that chime in from time to time. Are the hosts also supposed to check in every so often also? I'm not familiar with Co-Ops so pardon my ignorance. It seems they should be held to the same standards as those that are trusting that the host doesn't run off with your money.

It also appears that this Co-Op had problems from the onset. Lack of communication sent it spiraling out of control and the host had no clue how to get it back on track and buried her head in the sand. I'm sorry this has happened but it shouldn't be allowed to disrupt your friendship. Agree to disagree. If it does bear out that she was unscrupulous in how she sends out the product, that is unforgivable and she should never run another Co-Op. People can not keep their mouths shut and it will come out if she did in fact operate that way.

Thanks for your concern, Robin. I think you're right when you said the host played Ostrich.
I totally agree with Edd, the communication breakdown was the host's downfall and consequently the CoOp's as well. I also agree that something should have been done about it in the beginning. But we don't know if someone in authority has/had to the host about that problem, and/or whether or not she will be able to host another CoOp in the future.

Edd & I are still buddies, I just don't have enough information to start guessing who's getting what, when. What I do know is that I'll be one of the last ones to get their order fulfilled. I'm thinking I'll may even get yesterdays Richman RBA order in before the CoOp stuff gets back here.
