LordDavon to the rescue,

Once you get it taken apart, clean it with hot water, let it dry, carefully dry burn the coil, put it back together. Easy peasy.

Wow thanks. Mine are the CE3's from altsmoke.com but they are the same thing. Now I need small tweezers on my shopping list. I didn't know they came apart like that. I liked that Davon guy. I saw one of his videos a few weeks ago where he started laughing and had to turn the camera off. Something to do with his dog. It made me laugh. These may be perfect for the all VG juices I'm about to get. It is a good consistent vape, but it seems to dull the flavor quite a bit. I can use these while I'm driving to and from work though. Thanks again!

I still have so much to learn...

And my computer is acting up and I keep getting booted. It is 9 years old...yep you heard that right. I'd rather have vape stuff than a new computer...but it is inevitable

Yeah, that's a good one too, but I don't think she shows how to take it apart.

I think you're right. It's a 12 minute video and 6 minutes is her constantly repeating, "And it doesn't leak!, And it doesn't leak! And it doesn't leak!". Drives me crazy! But she does show how to fill it. Neither her or Davon shows how to fill the syringe. Oh well, it helps.

A couple of thoughts, not to disagree with LordDavon or anything, but I don't pull the seal out first. I just rock the tube off then push the seal out of the tube. It's way easier, and I've been using them for awhile and it hasn't messed one up yet. I'm pretty careful though. I use the plunger out of a syringe (rubber end cap off) to push the seal back in.

Another thing if you're going to use them with high VG. When you put it back together, don't push the center post quite all the way down. Leave a tiny gap between the shoulder on the center post and the top of the atty part. Not too much or it'll gurgle. 1/64"-1/32" is about right. You'll be happily surprised how much better they wick like that. You have to be careful when you're pushing the seal back in that you'd don't just push the center post right back down. It just takes a little practice.

Yes, that's my take on the CE3 too. It does knock the flavor down a tad mainly because it's a cooler vape (the smoke has to run up through the juice in the tank and that's what cools it). It does dull the flavor and throat hit a bit as a result. But it does burn the VG without leaving that dark crud near the end of the tank. It does produce great vape too. And after awhile I notice I do adjust to the flavor. I've been using it so I find it acceptable and useful (beats the hell out of constantly fiddling around with dripping). Had a little trouble filling it at first but GT walked me through it and I'm feeling comfortable with it now. But I think you'll like it.

The guy cracks me up too. His damn dog Sparky always has to get his face in the vid (or as Lord says, cleans his coil while the tape is rolling). The cat tormenting his bird so he shoots it with a squirt gun. Just send the animals to another room while you do vids. Come on Lord!

Here RJ...this thread is for you.

PG and VG side effects

I'll go read it...if I haven't already. Let's just say I've spent waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time here the past month. :vapor: I dove head first in money and equipment and time spent. Been a wild ride.

So Bronze, we both (so far) came to the same conclusion. Gandalf and Huntsman are reorder-able. No shipment of mine yet...maybe tomorrow.

I know one thing, these CE3s are doing nothing for me. Dripping has spoiled me. They are sucking my juice quickly, the flavor is gone, and although I get consistent vapor clouds, they are not as sun-blocking as the ones I was getting dripping.

Also, anyone else notice the quality of each dripping atty is never the same? I hope the one I love, and vapes like a champ, sticks around a while.

:)

I'm vaping on my CE3 right now and I'm getting enough flavor. No, it's not as flavorful as dripping (nothing is in my experience) and it's not exactly the same as a top coil IMO. But a top coil is not the same as dripping either. I find that I adapt to the flavor level. RJ, I think you should try using the CE3 exclusively for a couple days and see if you adapt to it. You have to adapt the juice base and you're willing. Go an extra step and try adapting to the bottom coil. If after a couple days you can't deal with it, then go back to dripping. In the end, all that matters is what works for you. But it sounds like you're trying to make some major changes in your vape life. That is going to require some rethinking.

OK, so I'm tired of arguing politics, let's talk juice! :)

LMAO!!!!! I honestly don't know why I go to those threads (usually I don't). I'm a pretty laid back guy but my button gets pushed when people start trying to tell other people what to do and how to do it and when to doit. I unsubcribed to that thread as fast as I subscribed to it. Might have been Mann's best advice yet. ha ha ha!!!

And speaking of juice, I haven't heard any chirping out of you about that Bella stuff. Are you purposely holding back? Tracking says I'm supposed to get mine tomorrow (along with a JC delivery). So I go into my stalking mode tomorrow. I'm woefully short of vapeable juice here. I'd be in what you call the emergency box. LMAO!!!

Yeah, I'm sorry, but if you're dumb enough to pay $200 for a $50 item, that's ALL on you bubba.

I feel the same way about the DIYers that whine about how much profit juice vendors make. SO!? If they price their juice too high no one will buy it. Well maybe those guys that paid $200 for that $50 PV will.....

I haven't been back in it yet. Letting it steep a few days. That stuff is potent. I go around talking about how I like "tobacco" juices, but that stuff is TOBACCO. I'm a little scared about some of the other juices in that line, Vita Bella is supposed to be the mild one. :)

Oh, I know that DIY sets you off. That's the most assertive I see you when I'm scanning the threads. It's kind of just the uppity of it all. If folks want to make their own juice or mods then that's great. In fact, I have wire and wick coming and I'm going to piddle around with cotton wicks and SS and the such. I have nothing against DIY. I kind of think it's neat. Just don't get all superior on me. I'm guessing that's where you're coming from too. FunkyVapes and I have been going back and forth a little on PM to kiss and make up. I encouraged him to come to this thread (or any of the HHV thread for that matter) to chime in because he has a good knowledge of their flavor lineup. So I hope to see him here. This is supposed to be fun. Right?

Hey Bronze, you should probably order you some Boba's and Gorilla juice before the 20% off grand reopening sale ends (it hasn't actually even started yet). Everyone should at least try those once in their life.

Dangit, I must have no clue what I'm doing. I went to AVE's website and they're not even open. I can't even find Boba's or GJ on their site. I'm clearly not looking in the right place. I thought AVE made Boba's?

Ahoy Bronze and Gang,

Loving the thread, and I love HHV. They turned me back onto tobacco juices. I know you've got some of the ones I've tried on the Way.

Dragon's Fire is amazing. Very mild with a touch of sweetness to it. Mildly bitter as well, but only so much as a cup of weak black tea. I think it's more of a subtle flavour that people who aren't fond of Gandalf should try, but even as a Gandalf fan I love it.

Oompa is great too, It reminds me of Gandalf as I seem to be one of a few people that gets a ton of Chocolate from it. Oompa turns up the Cocoa notes and emboldens them with a bit more sweetness, which is rounded out by the aftertaste which can be a bit more bitter and full. Nothing creamy about it, just a nice, dry Cocoa-tobacco Blend.

Finally, Dark horse is a new one for me. People say it's the closest you'll get to an analog and I agree, but it's still very far off. I get a pronounced, dry tobacco that is a little bit grassy, and a very small touch of smoke or burnt wood, which probably accounts for people's claims that it reminds them of a Marlborough Light - which I used to smoke for years before vaping.

I think you'll be impressed when you get them, like I said, they brought me back to tobacco juices after months of fruit and desserts. I'm back on the tobacco train, hard.
