Oh yeah? If that infuriates you, just go read this:

"Estimated cost for stay at Kate Middleton's private birthing suite: $15,000 [includes satellite TV, internet access food and wine]. Cost of average delivery in the United States: $30,000."

Uh-huh - you don't have "royalty" in the great Republic? (i.e. the ones socking all that money away in their greasy wallets). What I do know for sure is that it ain't poor April getting even a hint of her fair share. :-(

POLL:

Your level of interest in what the royal baby's name is? (0 being no interest, 10 being glued to your TV)

My level = -1,000

Back on a TV moratorium until this kid grows up and the press goes home.

Have a great day Army!!

You are right, Hula, it's not going in my pocket. Those figures are probably skewed. The hospital may charge that much, insurance has set amounts they pay (and we dont get paid the differnce) we actually lose money on many deliveries. No insurance or state insurance. We have a self cash pay in advance that's $6000, all inclusive even if she ends up needing a c-section. Sounds like a pretty good deal compared to the 30k!

Don't you just hate when you bite your tongue while chewing? I mean, seriously! I've had this tongue all my life, you would think I would know where it was at all times. Crap that hurt
or the inside of your cheek.

On another note, i seem to have misplaced my DF tank... hmmm....

Well in the interests of full disclosure, my stunning 10+ year run with the lioness may have run its course.

We are different people now and I think we are gonna work out a way to go our separate ways while keeping our kids together as much as possible. Not official yet, but it kinda seems that way to us both. Sad in a way but exciting, too. It will be nice to do this right and do right by the boys.

It's really not hard to understand with me working like I do and being the rather taxing personality that I have. Of course there are other things as well, and that's not hard to figure out. I am maybe just not a good serious boyfriend guy right now and maybe I never will be. This was probably my best chance at one, and I can honestly say I don't have any regrets either way and am glad I had this experience. She is the longest (by far) relationship I have had.

So my marital advice is coming from that perspective...which is a bit compromised.

I'm sorry things did not, or are not working out for the both of you. :(

It sure would be interesting to watch how that would play out. I'd probably lose my job for a while or have a dramatic pay cut.

Your pay would be preserved (versus Obamacare). Labor is like anything else...subject to supply and demand. Nurses are in the driver's seat and they will get paid well as long as that demand/supply curve is in your favor. Of course, that's out the window with gov't-run healthcare.

Supply/Demand also explains why teachers don't get paid a lot. In as much as an argument can be made that they are worth more, the sad fact is there are lots of people who want to be teachers. There is a glutton of supply. Same for lots of professions.

Ed and April you have my thoughts..life is too short to be unhappy.

MP here is a little advice from and old lady that has been happily married for 33 years in September and raised three pretty awesome children. Friendship...the core of a good marriage is a strong friendship. Life is full of bumps along the way and if you 'like' each other well enough to work together you will get over the bumps. Can you laugh at each other? Sometimes in this crazy world you need laughter. I can seriously say for me when I have a question that I'm afraid to ask anyone else in fear they might think I'm stupid..my hubby is who I ask. If any married couple tells you they never argue or disagree I wouldn't believe them...but when you think enough about your partner to do it with respect and a willingness to give and take you'll work things out. It's easy to love and lust...it takes a lot of work to build a lifetime friendship.

Now why did you delete that Pappy? Regardless, I liked what you said as it is very true. Just make sure that its the relationship that's the problem and not because someone elses grass just seeeeems greener. :)

That's right Hula. But also, sometimes you have to look at your neighbors lawn to know your lawn sucks. And I have no idea what Pap wrote. :)

By the way, my neighbor's lawn is nothing but weeds. Mine is plush (relatively speaking). But you know, they both look the same on the satellite photo. :)
