Ok, I just had to explain to my 13 y/o what 'snowy' tv was.. He has a few lines in his laptop screen and wants me to buy a new one.. I explained we watched tv with 'snow' all the time as kids!

TNT is right, Bridget. TV snow was/is usually cause by bad reception or weak signal, meaning TV components were not malfunctioning. While lines on the screen could indicate a graphic chip going bad or screen petering out, just to name a couple things that could be happening inside the laptop. It could last several more months, or a couple hours before blowing out.

I know, I know, not what you wanted to here.... ¯\(°_o)/¯

(((Bridget))) keeping you in my thoughts... The weather has finally cooled down a little here and it is so appreciated. The mornings and evenings are cool enough to hang out on the deck again. We got a whopping 1/10 inch of rain yesterday. I sure hope a good soaking rain is in the near future. It was really nice having my brother and his family home for a visit. It's been a really crazy past couple of days but sure enjoyed it. My dad enjoyed seeing everyone but was so exhausted last night. Hopefully he can get rested up today and we only have one doctor visit this coming week so that will be nice. Today I hope to just relax and get a few small things done around the house.

Figure what you would be spending on cigarettes per week. Example: when I smoked, I would buy a carton every Friday. Each Friday that figure goes on my spreadsheet. In another column, costs of vaping, whenever I buy something vape related.

Say I spent $400 today and I would have spent $50 per week on cigs. My break even date would be 8 weeks out.

She loves to discuss her spreadsheet....

You can just use a weekly budget, unless you are really into Excel....

Thought I would add: I've made up a spreadsheet for myself. I've broken costs out to 2 categories. Supplies and liquid. Each Friday I put the figure of $56.50 (1 carton of cigs). The costs get deducted from the amount of what I used to buy cigs. I broke even a long time ago and am into the savings by over $1,000. :)

Hahaha! Yes I do love my spreadsheet! Not worth putting QuickBooks on my computer when Mr. Robin has his own 3 computers and he does the finances. A simple spreadsheet works perfect for me. ;)

TNT and Chak, I should have mentioned that we have 2 laptops, and theirs is wonky because they don't take very good care of it. I think they left it on the arm of the recliner and it fell. It's had those lines in the screen for a long time now, and I'm not getting them a new one. Yep, I'm mean.

Bronze, good to see you back. I was just talking to a friend last night about borrowing their jeep because it's a stick shift and I want Kal to learn to drive one. I learned on a standard, it's just one of those things you need to know how to do.

Hi y'all , it's a lazy day down here, hope everyone's having a good one!

Bridget, sorry to hear about your grandma I know it's a hard thing to watch. I've been through it a few too many times.. My dad was having conversations with dead relatives before he passed from cancer. Makes you wonder. I'll say a prayer for her.

The Mrs and I went to catch a matinee this morning. Went to roll the windows up in my truck, and the passenger side window fell out of the track.. I wedged it closed after pulling the glass up, then we went in for the movie.

After the movie, went home and spent 3 hours repairing the regulator assembly, YAY FORD!!

Fired up the old 2 stroke Toro/Suzuki mower after filling the tank with some Renegade 110 octane and Maxima 927castor oil. Mowed our 1/8th acre in 15 minutes ;)

Time now to fire up the Jenn Aire and grill up some lemon pepper and olive oil marinated Grouper. Its been a really sweet holiday!!
