I'm not sure how someone can deal with snow! I can't imagine knocking down icicles, plowing the driveway and sidewalks, and shoveling snow from the roof all the time. My friend in New York told me all about it. He said by the end of winter the snow is piled so high you can barely see the houses and since it never melts there is nowhere to put it. 8-o No way could I handle snow. We completely shutdown where I live with even a dusting of snow. We are not equipped for it whatsoever.

As I get older I don't do cold very well. Can do without the snow too. Did pick up a new 12v cordless Dermal. $99.minus $10 off coupon from Lowes minus $50 gift card from using the points from my Speedway card. $60 off not to bad.:)

Nice facelift.. how'd you do that?

I had seen elsewhere on the forum, another member did his. I just used some 300 grit plumbers sandcloth to strip the chrome and thin copper plating, then finished with 1000 grit wet sanding paper. Its much shinier off camera :) Took about an hour.

It's officially fall. Not that anyone cares.:p

I found 3 leaves in the backyard this morning. I got rid of the evidence before the girls woke up..

Ah-ha, going into the last week of school - proctoring exams every other day 24, 26 and 30. Then we're off for the whole month of Oct. Yee Haw! Time to charge the battery back up. I get so brunt out by the end of the term it's pitiful. :toast:

It's also a great feeling to have all those grades done, now I can write up some well deserving juice reviews on CarbonThief's juices. Hope I can remember what they taste like...

My year round 5/8's is killing me after 25 years of it (which is really longer than 8 hours a day since I wake up at 6 am and get home at 5:30 pm). I think about retirement every.single.day. Working for the man is getting old. I shouldn't feel so bad...my brother is currently working 7/12's with an extremely long daily drive. That is 7 days a week for 12 hours a day.

He does. He's a welding supervisor for the union. As a matter of fact he's the one who barely made it out of high school and didn't go to college. I have an engineering degree and my older brother has a Master's in Education (retired) and he makes more than both of us! Of course he works crazy hours and lots of overtime to do it.

Good evening everyone...have I told you 100 times or more how wonderful my grandchildren are? It's been a weekend of just hiding out with the family and let me tell you those little ones have helped us all in our healing process. Everyone finally actually got a good night's sleep last night and I took a three hour nap today. I think after getting some rest I'll be ready to face the world tomorrow. I have almost depleted my 18mg Huntsman..better get some more. I still need to try my Caramel Cap..maybe I'll get a fresh EVOD loaded to try in the morning. It's cooled off here as well, I love fall just don't like what follows:blink:
