There may be more variety now but they were made to last, my nieces and nephews can and do destroy most toys in the first five minutes . But with all the PC nanny state crap now our generation should never have made it through childhood according to them. How did we get to be old farts Bronze LOL ?

Divine intervention. It's still keeping me alive. :)

Sounds good Retic. I used to go to Thai restaurants when I lived in ChiTown. Good food! But they went a little heavy on the ginger so I always had them back off on it a bit. Ginger can be VERY spicy and not the kind of spice I care for...prefer Mexican and Italian spicy.
I like it all a little too much Bronze I'm carrying 30 lbs. more than I used too.

It's gotta be , I fell out of a tree when I was 9 and wound up with hanging from a spike on a wrought iron fence through my leg, the fire dept. had to cut the fence to get me off. And I was more scared than hurt. I was jumping off the roof with an umbrella a few weeks later playing parachute with my brothers . That was a big hit with my mom, I got my .... warmed pretty good for that idea being the oldest and the ringleader LOL !

Good ole meatloaf and mashed potatoes here tonight, cornbread for the males. I did a roast last weekend, but I shredded it up and made shredded beef burritos.

I had to turn down an invitation from a buddy who was doing meatloaf and smashed taters just yesterday. Couldn't go 'cause the caregiver for MIIL was off and it was my turn to give care.

He did text later to say he'd bring some leftovers round ... can't wait!

I shall not sully the sanctity of his first millennium. Do it later.. :p

Dude, I've done the fence thing myself. Back of thigh.

Also impaled myself on a television antenna while jumping from terrace to terrace, 6 stories up.

Survived getting run over by a bus while on my bike due to a broken brake cable.

Run over by a farm tractor, although that did break some bones in my ankle when I got slammed to the ground.

Multiple car collision that totalled my car. Walked away from that without a scratch.

I think I've cashed in a few chips with the big man upstairs..

All so I could moderate you folks..

We got into rock fights when I was a kid. Don't know how I survived those. :)

Geez, just realized I did almost an all nighter! Couldn't sleep for some reason. I get caught up in this forum like a good book and just can't put it down. :D

See yuh in a half hour Chak.

It's amazing what you guys will get yourselves into.

My younger brother sharpened a stick real nice like, and was showing the fam how he could stick it into the ground.. Next thing ya know, he stuck it right in the top of his foot.

Another brother and some friends were sledding on a piece of tin behind a 3 wheeler. (You see where this is going I'm sure..) Sliced his forearm open, required quite a few stitches. And no, the parents weren't home.

That does it! I'm moving to Alabama.

Come on down! We will definitely feed you here. And maybe I could find something electronic for you to fix. HAHA!

Roll Tide. Looking pretty stout, with an impressive drive there.

Team's looking tight and smooth tonight. Best I've seen 'em play this year.

I can never get the spuds to cook in a crocker. They're rubbery like chewing a super ball. What's your secret?

Oh no...only the roast in the crock pot. I boil the carrots and onions and potatoes in a pan on the stove. Put a little of the gravy from the crock pot in with them.

Tell 'em to read the back of the Jiffy box if they want cornbread. :)

I rarely make cornbread because my son doesn't like it. But when I do, I make the packaged kind much to the chagrin of my Mom. :glare: It's just easier.

Congrats Retic on your first millennium!!!!!
