I did all that 35 years ago as a drunken sailor. A few questions :
Do they still have cobblestone streets in Barcelona's Red light District ?
Do they still drive like suicidal maniacs in Naples ?
Do they still cook in stone hearths in Florence restaurants ?
Did the Roman Coliseum strike you as over-rated ?
Does the French Riviera still look timeless and beautiful at night ? (don't remember her name)
Majorca ... (brought Granny a souvenir there, but can't remember....)
Barcelona (several times) Beautiful Catholic Cathedral, which at the time, was guarded by Spanish Army.

Does any of this ring a bell Pappy ? Or do drunken sailors take a different tour ?

:D

I'm happy to say that I did not visit Barcelona's red light district, so I dunno about the cobblestone streets.

The suicidal maniac drivers in Naples are the calmer ones. The rest of them are WORSE!! It's insane!

Don't know about the stone hearths in Florence restaurants. We had pizza, wine and coffee there.

I did not think the Coliseum was over-rated. But I was in awe of looking at something that was 2,000 years old, and still can't believe the barbarity of watching people killing other people or being killed by animals.

All I saw of France was Marseille, but it was a beautiful city. I'd love to go back.

That catholic cathedral in Barcelona is amazing. One of the strangest, but most beautiful, pieces of architecture I've ever seen. They've been building it for 140 years . . . almost as long as my wife has been working on our landscaping. (And they may have spent almost as much money on it as she has spent on our landscaping.)

Red light district? I think this was a family trip Pop. :)

It was a company trip, not a family trip. But I was accompanied by two beautiful young female co-workers that would have skewered me on a spit if I had suggested a side trip to the red light district.

And even without any lecherous activity on my part, I still came home with some sort of crud that I can't get rid of. I'm sure it had nothing to do with being herded like cattle in a squeeze chute (along with 10 billion other people) at the Vatican. The Pope spoke the day we were there, so I now understand what it's like to be a sardine in a can.

No, I mean with his teasing "I am in the doghouse" post with no further information, fueling post after post of speculation. Just like you love to do. Do you deny it, Maestro?

I know not, that which you speak of..

I have the neighbor girl here for two hours and I'm shot. She never stops talking. Cute as a bug's ear but she wears me out! :)

I had the 2 neighbour girls over + my 5 year old. So, I baked bread. Strangely therapeutic!

That bread looks awesome Dust! My neighbor girl likes to make stuff in the kitchen too so I'll make stuff with her all the time. I taught her to crack eggs without making a mess. I taught her how to ride a bike too. Took me 15 minutes. It happened so fast the other neighbor girl wanted me to teach her. Took me 15 minutes with her as well. I have it down pat!

OMG Dusty that looks so yummy...no I'm not going to bake bread...trying to get the energy to pry myself away from the computer and rebuild my KFLs...that's about all the energy I'm going to have tonight:laugh: (like 10 min worth of work...)

Me too. After going to the grocery store after work and eating pizza...I'm so sleepy. BUT!...I'm set for the weekend. PJs are already on. A beautiful roast and full pantry awaits me. I will put it on early in the morning so we can smell it cook all day tomorrow. Then watch the football game and drink beer. Scary movies tomorrow night. I'm not going ANYWHERE! We get so tired of always having to go somewhere or do something or someone wanting something from me. I'm hibernating until Monday morning. I'm so excited....:w00t:

Yum, Dusty! That looks delish!!

If I had a breadmaker, I'd weigh 400 pounds. Thus, the reason I don't have a breadmaker.

Breadmaker?! What the heck do you need a breadmaker for? Some measuring cups/spoons, a bowl and an oven is all you need. Ofcourse, and the ingredients for your bread. :D

So my son's delinquent friend pulled out his string from his jacket he wore today. I told my son I thought it was probably him who did the marker and he defended him yesterday. Son didn't say much today. I'll be able to use a safety pin to thread it back through. I never have liked that boy...and I'm a good read on people. Maybe he just needs love to show him the right way. :) Love always works.
