Warning, possible ickiness ahead.
So, sometime between macadamia nut coffee and now, I'm at work doing my usual chores, and my right eye feels funny like there's a mascara flake in there. I start welling up with tears My assistant manager looks at me and says "Your eye is REALLY red". I look in the mirror and it's horror-movie time, plus the surface of my eye itself is swollen, and when I blink it looks like I have a contact lens in there, except I don't.
I run down to the optical
shop and ask if they know any eye doctors in the neighborhood. One very kindly agrees to see me on a moment's notice. Turns out to be "episcleritis", an inflammation of the eyeball surface. I excuse myself from work because frankly I look kind of gross. Now I'm home with some very expensive steroid eyedrops and some antihistamines. Still weeping from one eye.
No idea how that happened.
Dragon's Fire vapor soothes the itch though. LOL.
