Hi guys I hope all is well.

Just got the email that my first HHV order was shipped and I'm looking forward to it. I have some gandolf and huntsman on the way. Do I really have to let it steep or is it good right out of the box? Technically in transit that is two days of steeping lol. One juice vendor told me a while back that if I shake it, put it in a bowl of hot water in a ziplock, leave it in there till the water cools, take it out, take the cap off put it in the closet for the night, that it is worth a few days of steeping.

Guys I'm desperate, all I've had the last couple months is fruit, mint, and unflavored... I've been climbing the walls wanting something different! Ha..

Someone else want to answer Eric's question? I still want to see what this vastly educated crowd knows.

Hey Eric

I was desperate too, and didn't have a choice to let things steep. I was still very pleased. They got better over time, and now I'm all stocked up, back up steeping, it's a luxury.

What's the worst that can happen? You'll try it and think, gee I should let this steep. Back to square one.

I have hilariously un-nimble fingers. Filling a clearomizer tests the limits of my coordination.

My sweet, dear mother (RIP) was that way. She was all lady, but grace and nimbleness was not her strong suit. She'd bump into a picture on the wall and it would go all kitty whompus. I'd say, "Mom, straighten out the picture". She'd say, "Oh". Then she'd go to straighten it out and make it worse. :)

I saw someone else mention Coca-cola. I don't know about that, but I have seen coke eat corrosion off of a car battery cable.

I tried the Coca-cola - didn't do much for my atty's. I've also tried baking soda and vinegar. And, soaking in vodka. And, I've tried one and then tried the other back to back. None of them seemed any better than another. I did forget I put one to soak in vodka once for a few days - the wicks turned green!!!!

I really think Huntsman works straight outa the mailbox. It seems real consistent over time. I do agree that it wouldn't hurt, as most here recommend and have taught me, to remove the cap and tip for a day or 2. Still you can dive right in to Huntsman. I let my modern version of Gandalf steep so cannot speak to it fresh.

Is it a berry like taste? an apple/pear taste? a banana taste? etc...

One thought on my mind after catching up on this thread....

Why clean those Vivi heads??? It's too much hassle. It costs less than 16¢ to rebuild and only a minute and a half of your time (once you get the hang of it) and if that isn't your thing, buy them in bulk. Nothing tastes better than a good juice in a BRAND NEW COIL.

EDIT: If you'll pay $4-5 on a clearo, a new coil for $3 is a bargain.

Buying in bulk is a great idea. I won't be building my own for fear of blowing my face off, but bulk buying I can do.

See Bronze... Sometimes even the wrong answer is right, when it comes from your heart! It's a crappy place to be when all your juice tastes like garbage. I felt Eric's pain! It was the humanitarian response. :).

We've all been there. And your answer wasn't wrong. It was the right answer for the right situation. My answer is usually right for the ideal situation. And Eric is happy now. :)
