I was going to erase my last post, but upon further thought I figure I'll let it ride.
The truth is I struggle on a daily basis dealing with my own Virtues and judging others or NOT judging others. When it comes down to it, as long as any place of business is making good food nothing else matters. If the service is bad but the food is great I'll go back depending on what is the problem. Not really sure I care if they are apart of rogue sect of religion but at the same time it depends on my mood. Whatever each individual needs to be a good person who am I to judge.
EAT THE PANCAKES! :)

So, philosophical question for the Army...

There's a restaurant in town that Mr Scarf and I like. It's overpriced but they serve probably the best pancakes around, including my favorite breakfast which is a cheese and potato pancake.

If you found out that this restaurant was owned by people whose beliefs and practices were contrary to your own, would you continue to go or not?

Answer; Who gives a rats rear-eand as long as the food is good! I am a USNavy Veterat, and years ago before the 'Americanization' of Europe (forget the EU, the Iron Curtain was alive and well then), there were many evenings when I was the ONLY Person in the resteraunt who spoke English. Yet I found many good meals, and great service, simply by waiting for a waitress/ waiter, and motioning to them with both hands, palms up as if to say "I trust you". I have photos from one such adventure where, despite the language barrier, my friends and I recieved a Sicilian seven course meal, all the wine we could drink, and the proprieter came out and got drunk with us. So drunk his wife (?) would come out of the kitchen, scream angriliy at him, and go back inside. He would smile and pour more wine for everyone. My friends (7 0f us) and I left that man over $100 American in tips that night. (@ 1981)
When you go to a resteraunt, you are looking for two things- service and food. If Both the Service and the Food are exceptional, who cares what someone's beliefs are ?
Put it this way- any man who has spent $5 (or more) for a drink in a titty-bar that complains about McDonalds is a hypocrit. Just my :2c: My sunday morning rant is over now....

Ok, Ok, I'll probably change all those to 15ml bottles! And the huntsman has 'grassy' in the description so that's why it's not on the list. Thanks to all for the input.
RJ- I've got 1 in ortho also, and no one here gives a hoot about eating healthy but me! My DH hasn't touched a fruit or veg in God knows when..
That palatal expander can catch a ton of food, tell him/her to eat whatever they want, just be sure to clean it out. A good rinse after eating can do a lot. My son (in ortho) got a bad hygiene report on Monday, which is totally embarassing for me, as I am a hygienist. ('tooth powerwasher' as metioned by others a few days back:D) I wanted to strangle him, he's old enough to do better!

As to the restaurant question above, I'd probably still go. But it's just good food I'm after..

The other day my son noticed he had drooled on his pillow from his expander. He said, "Hey Mom, it's in the shape of Africa!" What in the world did I ever do without him?

To answer your inevitable curiosity, it is owned by a philosophical-religious organization whose name I'd just as soon not type in a public internet forum because of their reputation for responding to imagined or actual criticism, in a, shall we say, energetic way.

If you're reading this post without formatting, it might not make sense.

I would eat there if they are not actively pushing their views while I am eating there. I would even give them one warning if they started trying to talk me into their belief system. A firm, "That is not for me, and I am not going to change my ways. I would appreciate it if you never bring this up to me again." should suffice. If they do it again, I would have to consider not returning.

It is a wise man who knows his own character and what to guard against. Good form, PicC.

Ok, so my HHV shopping cart looks like this, all 18 mg, 6ml.
Dragon's Fire
Heavenly tobacco
Heavenly Army
Pirate's Booty
Serendipity
Shadow

Good for 1st timer? 80/20 or 70/30 pg/vg. Remember I like the TH. :D

Follow the steeping rules Bridget. If you forgot them, ask. We'll tell you. Or visit the steeping threads in this forum. The throat hit will be fine with the 70/30 or 80/20.

No....in a word. But I would not judge others who have a different stance. Try your hand at replicating their pancake recipe Scarfy.

I think that organization is full of silly, harmful unintelligent thinking by Godless people, but I'd patronize their businesses based on the business and service, not the beliefs.

That is, as long as they were not liberals.:lol::lol:

This reminded me of a time I took my mother out to dinner, and the waitress started pushing
her unorthodox beliefs on my mother. I did the same: I told the waitress to knock it off or we
would wear out some shoe leather headin' out the door. She knocked it off, and I left her the
normal tip - which is look both ways before crossing the street.

My Saturday nights are spent watching "Dateline: Real Life Mysteries". I love crime shows. :)

My favorite type of television. 48 Hours has some good ones too. This love of mysteries dates back to Perry Mason and later Quincy. :)

I agree with Edd, below. If they try to push their view, then no. You are there for the food and service.

I would eat there if they are not actively pushing their views while I am eating there. I would even give them one warning if they started trying to talk me into their belief system. Agreed.

If this doesn't move you, you're not alive.

Thanks for making me have to have the tissues handy. OMG I love when people can forget their differences and get caught up in humanity.
