So i bought a helios about a week ago and its been vaping great, although recently after seeing a few more im getting skeptical about it. Ive noticed that all the helios attys come with a serial number engraved on the bottom along with a serial number while mine only has the serial number. It came with the 2 oval holes and the little engraving on the side that says VHO and the Phillips head screws and the 3 post with 4 hole design. Overall it is amazingly built and quality is top notch, im just unsure of what model it is or if it is even real or not because of the discrepancy with the USA engraving.

I sent an email to the website i purchased it from last night asking about it and have not heard back yet. Hopefully i hear something soon. Anyone have any insight on it? Ill post pictures on my lunch break.

congrats on the new Helios, I believe you received the new version, I'm judging by the posts using Phillips screws instead of allen screws

I have not seen the new version in person so I don't know about the vho on the side of the addy or the oval air holes. I do like the oval holes because I wish mine had larger hair hole opening. and I prefer the Phillips head over the allen style. I do think you have a real one.

my Helios uses allen head screws and the center positive post is T shaped and has two positive screw and holes for dual coils. this is a great idea and makes setting up dual coils the easiest build possible.

I noticed your dual coil build, it is interesting to me how you made it. i'm wondering what ohms you are running at with those long legs.
I build my coils right next to the posts for the shortest legs possible. generally I prefer single coils, but I do dual coils from time to time.

I mostly do a 3/4 wrap with 28 gauge which ohms at .6 or .7 ohms. I do the same when I do duals but duals get to about .4 ohms

enjoy

Thanks for the response! Just wanted to double check.
Yeah I'm running dual micro coils right now at .45 ohms. 6 wraps on a 1/16 drill bit.
This atty makes amazing flavor and I'm pretty impressed with capo production as well. I'm used to using a nimbus with 1/8 air holes so it's a nice change of pace
