Hello all and Noobie question...

Hi guys just like to say great forum and very informative all round - big thumbs up! Little intro first, and then on to my question...

Firstly, and possibly oddly given where I am posting, I quit smoking completely what will be 3 years ago this coming November, and while i dont have the nicotine cravings the social 'itch' to smoke is always still there when I go out drinking etc but I have managed to resist the urges so far. My younger sister smokes (she's a radiographer too so you think x-rays of smokers would put her off!), and this obviously worries the rest of the family who are all non-smokers and want her to quit. I heard about E-cigs earlier this year and mentioned them to her but she seemed a bit skeptical. So I decided to take a leap for her and bought a Zenith PCC (think its a 510 model) starter kit with 0% nicotine carts to road-test the theory for her with a mind to maybe buying her one for Christmas.

Now you probably think im crazy given that I already gave up cigarettes the hard way but as no-one else in the family has smoked in the past I'm the only one who could relate and tell her how vaping shapes up versus smoking Analogs.

It arrived today and this has led to a couple of questions to ask :

1) The PCC is charging and I put in the batts to charge - now the packaging says you can charge both the batt and the PCC at the same time, and the first light should go green when the batt is fully charged, but it just stays red, then after a minute blinks slowly for a while, then turns off - doesnt go green. The batt seems to have a charge and works when put together with the Att & Cart - does this mean somethings up with the PCC?

2) Carts and the Atomiser - I dont know if its just me, but are the carts meant to be SO tight fitting into the atomiser? I push them fully in and they click in place fine but when it comes to pulling it out I seem to have to pull so hard im worried about breaking something! I just cant seem to grip it properly or tightly enough with my fingers and pretty much have to yank it out using my teeth which doesnt seem right to me. Only really tried the 2 that came free with the PCC so maybe it will be ok with the others ive ordered but the blank caps that came covering the atty incl in the PCC and the spare atty I ordered come away fine. Now if this is normal I can see this being something that might put her off, so I hope its just a matter of the free carts being slightly too tight or something.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Hi,

To answer your first question, if the middle light goes out the batt is charged. Your second question is a little harder to answer not knowing just what unit you have and which carts they sent, but you shouldn't have so much trouble getting the carts out of the atomizer. Perhaps they sent you the wrong carts, I would wait until the new ones come in to make a judgement call.
Good luck with your sister:)

Thanks for clearing up the LED question on the PCC as the wording on the back of the packet was really confusing! :p
As far as my model is concerned its called "Zenith" which is as far as the blurb on their site (e-cigs.co.uk) goes, is a 510/Dura, which they also say is compatible with All DURA C and JOYE510 variants and accessories. The 2 carts I am trying at the moment are the whistle type ones that came pre-packaged in the PCC case (even though it says it ships with 2 empty carts, these were filled and individually sealed in a plastic wrapper and labelled TOB-NONE, and appear exactly like the ones in the extra packs I ordered) so I would have thought they should fit properly? Maybe as theyre reusable they will free themselves up a bit out of use, already seems to be less tricky to remove but that could be as the edge of the atomiser is 'shaving' the plastic of the cart ever so slightly. Maybe the batch was slightly off-moulding? Just wondered if this has been experienced by anyone else.
