Hello all! I'm new to ECF although I have come here before to read others posts. I finally decided it's time to become a member. A little info on me, I've been vaping since March 28th of 2010! I would like to consider myself a well versed vaper although not an expert. I started with an E-cigarette (actually looked like a cigarette) that someone else got for me. It was pretty crappy but it made me think there had to be better out there. I then purchased Blu cigs, (another crappy cig) and then moved to a company called "Revolver" which also looked like a cig. Not long after that the eGo came out and I switched to that. after that I talked my wife into getting me a Pro-Vari. One of the first versions (un-usable now) and got a glass carto tank. I made my own carto punch and was content with that for some time. then the Pro-Tank came out and I got one of those. I soon learned how to recoil the Pro-Tank and was rocking that until the Kayfun came out. I had already been making coils on a small scale so...Why not? So I got a Kayfun lite clone. just recently I got a Kayfun V4 clone from KP. I use 28g Kanthal and wrap on a 5/64th in. drill bit. Usually 7-8 wraps so I'm not a sub-ohmer. I've been looking into the Erlkonigen and really want to get one. However, I have a 16 month old and another on the way so the days of spending $150 or so on ANYTHING for vaping are OVER! So I'm relegated to clones most of the time. I have looked at the Erlprinz and I have to be honest, I like the stainless steel finish of the Prinz better than the media blasted Erl. I don't have a single mod (other than my Pro-Vari which I can't even use since I started making my own coils) that has that finish. It seems that the main differences between the two are the finish, the 45 degree turn of the top, the posi-post, and the type or stainless. so is it really worth it? Is the 45 degree top that big of a deal? would it be better to get a Prinz and then a clone and just put the top of the clone on the Prinz? I do like the bottom of the Prinz better than the Erl. It seems like it would sit flush better. By the way.....I am currently using a Stingray X clone with a copper hybrid top cap and my Kayfun V4 clone (tobecco) with the wrap mentioned above.
