Hello all from a newbi

Hi folks,

This is my first posting to a forum.

I've been vaping now since the day before Thanksgiving and can't imagine going back to tobacco.

I was a 45 year smoker ( Cigs then Pipes). Now have a Riva (for days when I'm out and about) and a 601 E-Pipe for after dinner and evenings watching TV.

I love vaping, my wife loves it, my 8 grown children love it, and best of all my grand-kids love it ("you don't stink no more Grandpa!").

All the enjoyment, and nicotine, and no ostracism or dirty looks.

Hi Pipeman, welcome to ECF and the world of vaping!

My husband (OldSoldier) and I got our first Starter Kit just before Thanksgiving also. We both quit cold-turkey that day, but then our one and only recharger malfunctioned about 10 days later, and we had to go back on analogs for about a week while we waited for a replacement. Once we got the recharger (and lots of other back-up parts, LOL) we gave up smoking once and for all.

Glad you are here. I smoked about as many years as you did and tried almost everything out there to quit. Nothing worked. Then a friend told me he had quit by using ecigs. I decided to try it, not to quit, but just for those places that you can't smoke at anymore. Somewhere along the way I stopped smoking, I'm not even sure of the date. It just happened and I didn't even know it. Sounds like you are well on your way. The only advice I can give is to make sure you have enough supplies on hand. If where you live is like here, you can't just go to the store and get what you want when you need it. Plan ahead is the best rule. Enjoy the journey into the smoke free world.

I did get a box of 5 extra attys and some extra ejuice, the Riva kit came with 2 batteries so I should be OK.

mlinky what part of the state are you in? Are there any retail vape shops in your area? We've got nothing around the Northern Ky - Cincinnati area. I hate having to depend on the net. I'm big on instant gratification.
