Hey Fellow Vapers~
Just switched to vaping 2 days ago.. loving it but was kinda frustrated by the idea of having to service it regularly (not that i hate to, just feel it would be better maintenance free~ xD) so yea..
So i have some question about

3. should i refill the liquid before it drop below the hole (mine has no wick), because i saw somewhere it say it will make it dry carto or dry smth smth..
4. is dripping means drop few eliquid to the center of the carto to get better taste? but when i did, the liquid will drop to the battery terminal..
5. do u guys get od'ed b4? been quite heavy vaping cauz i love the taste haha but scared to be od'ed with nic.
thanks in advance and VAPE ON!!

1) Yours is a cartotank, I believe. Similar to a what I'm using right now. A carto and carty are different names for the same thing. The real difference between a cartomizer and a clearomizer is the atomizer setup. A carto has an atomizer that's embedded in a bed of batting that absorbs the e-liquid prior to vaporizing it, and a clearo has a wicked atomizer that draws the fluid out of the tank into the atomizer. It's really a personal preference thing as to which is better. I've used both and like them both equally. The Vivi Nova is a type of clearo. You can get a cartomizer either with or without a tank. Tanked cartos will have hole in them to facilitate fluid transfer. There's also what I've heard called a drip atomizer. Most use them for testing new flavors, but you have to drip 3-5 drops at a time and you get x amount of puffs from it. I'm not a fan of them, personally, as I prefer tanks.
2) To get rid of the burned flavor after a charge or fill, first, take a few puffs without activating the battery (draw on it without pressing the button.) This draws fluid into the batting and helps prevent burning. Once you've done that, activate the battery and take a few puffs without inhaling to burn off any manufacturing fluid still left on the burner coil. This process is called "priming". If you're just refilling a tank, you shouldn't have to prime, unless you cleaned or changed flavors. If you start getting a gurgling or fluid in your mouth when you puff, you have too much fluid on the atomizer. If you don't have an adjustable battery, hold the button a second or two before you puff to burn off the extra fluid. If you do have an adjustable, just turn up the voltage for a puff or two and it'll burn it off without harming the internals.
3) Always refill before a carto drops below the hole. You run the risk of drying out your batting and burning it. Once it's burned, there's no saving it, and it'll make everything you vape afterwards taste burnt. If you're not sure how to correctly refill your cartridge, find a local vape shop and they can show you what you need to do. There's probably quite a few videos on Youtube as well.
4) If you're primed correctly, you should never have to drip directly onto the atomizer coil. I personally don't recommend it, because it can cause fluid to drip down to the battery and can corrode terminals and cause a short.
5) You probably don't really have to worry about overdosing unless you're running a very high nicotine level. It's estimated that you only absorb about 40% of the nicotine through a vaporizer as opposed to much higher levels with a cigarette. Plus, you're not getting all the added harmful chemicals added by cigarette companies. Experiment with your nicotine levels. I vape at 24 mg. Most companies will sell 0, 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, and 36. I've heard of shops around where I live selling as high as 56mg, which tends to make people sick. If you DO happen to OD, your body will let you know. You'll get sick to your stomach, get lightheaded, and will most likely get a headache as well. It's not fun. If you're very worried about it, I'd say vape at 12-18 mg until you get used to it. One more thing to remember, the lower the nicotine level, the more often you'll feel the urge to vape, since your body is craving the nicotine.
I like the idea of being able to control my voltage, and am vaping with an eGo-C Twist 1000 mAh battery. I used to use a Lambo adjustable voltage with an 1800 mAh battery, but it was too bulky to easily carry around. Really, it all comes down to personal preference. Experiment with flavors and nicotine levels until you find what works for you, and, as always, Vape On!
