I'm in a similar decision making situation to yourself. I started out with a couple of kits, and now I have some spinners in the mail now. I wrote my decision making up here:

The whole order was about $100. One thing I would suggest is to make sure you buy enough juice in your first order (30ml or prefilled carto equivalent), as it sucks to run out and have to move back to logs while waiting for USPS to get there.
Hi,
Just read Fugazzi's entire thread,
Wanted to share with you all some of my thoughts from the other side of the world as to why most ppl say ecigs don't work
To put it in perspective - I have been able to so call ' Convert' (only for the lack of a better word, or my limited vocabulary)
9 people I care for have stopped smoking and started vaping and this was in the last 30 days I've learnt a lot and in this process I've come across a lot of views
But here goes what I wanted to say - the challenges we face here, some of them may be cultural some economic some mixed with other things
These are not in any particular order,
Some of the people gave me these reasons as to why they did not want to take up vaping
Typically the cheapest ecig here is Rs. 250 that's approx 4.5 USD - these really don't work
In the mid range is the Joye egoT - basic 650mah, ce5,charger is bout Rs.3100 (56-57 USD)
And the eVic is about Rs. 7200 (133 USD)
Most people like to experiment with the cheapest ones first and tell themselves that if it works they will move up - and that does not happen for obvious reasons
The other thing was the ones that really worked did not look like the regular analogues - and some people here did not want to be caught dead with them -
The next thing - there's. A huge lack of vendors here with the real stuff - even sites with big brand names like Rediff , Times and eBay have vendors on them which sell junk ecigs with tall health claims (I've bought these too ) - don't work
The saddest thing was When friends who smoked longer than me said they can stop any time And this was not for them - denial - but I cannot judge
The other was suspicion - do these things work, are they just a ripoff trick etc.
Over all what worked was I just gave the ones I cared about a good piece of equipment an juice and told them to try it for a week, return it after that - all of them called me within a day or two and said they wanted one, all I lost was a bottle of juic and gained many extra years to spend with them.
I'm planning to start writing a blog, culturally relevant to India to take away misconceptions here, I'm not very tech savvy or never have blogged ever - I hope it works
I guess once there's objective information for every one here and ways to get it out both online and offline - like us vaping in publicly and explaining to others both smokers and non smokers here
I am happy for ECF - cos I have met vapers in India, and am sure we will all get together and come up with some good stuff
WoundedIcon - may the good charms that the wind carries be with you - good that you started this thread
