Hi everyone, it is nice to be among you all!
Bought the e-cig this weekend; very nifty tool! I use the Smoke51 Trio. It is wonderful, yet I had trouble with it at first; I think the young man who sold it to me filled the cartridge too much with the tobacco solution. It kept leaking even though I was holding it as horizontally as possible, but it still got into my mouth (my manual says something to the effect of, "don't let the solution reach your mucus membrane.") I rinsed my mouth thoroughly as it told me to do so. So, I changed the cartridge & all seems better. However, I had been smoking here & there on it (after reading the entire manual) all weekend (bought it this last Friday), & the next night, I was walking to my couch to sit down & I felt a spontaneous combustion in my throat. It was on fire, lasted for about 30 mins!!! Very hard for me to focus & to get any water down (tried to flush it as much as I could.) I also vomited once during this time. My throat is still very raw & sore:facepalm: (feels like razors) & I am wondering if the solution reached my mucus membrane. I have been unable to find any info. as to what would happen to a person if it did. Does this sound like nicotine overdose or solution poisoning to anyone?
Anywho, any advice/experience like mine would be appreciated to these eyes!

Blessings, hope y'all are having a fantastic holiday season!
:vapor:Happy vaping,
~Happy

oo i have no idea what happened but u might want to try 100% vg juice just in case of having an allergic reaction to pg juice. i haven't heard of this reaction coming from contact with e liquid. personally, i have gotten it in my mouth and hands and besides a bad taste, nothing, maybe dryness on my hands but that may be from soap as i have been using a soap that drys my face.

I have a couple things it could be.

You hit a dry atomizer and took a real long drag (done some smaller ones myself on accident, not at all pleasant, I was coughing for minutes).

You might be allergic to something in the juice, but I think this is not likely. Your symptoms don't sound like a PG allergy, but then again I don't know a great deal about that.

Its could be the nicotine, mild nicotine overdose can cause nausea and vomiting, but even getting some juice in your mouth shouldn't do that unless its got a very high nicotine concentration, or you got all the juice from your cartridge in your mouth at once.

I have got juice in my mouth lots of times without any real reaction besides a bad taste. I am not sure what caused you so much pain, if it happens again I think I would think about getting away from pg also, is the only thing I can think of that it was an allergic reaction to pg. Hope it doesn't happen again.

Yikes, that's some scary stuff. I second trying VG juice instead of whatever is in the pre-filled cartridges you received - the fluid in these are usually considered not ideal and sub-par in quality. To do this, you may have to buy some new cartridges that have the filling in them (the batting, white or blue puffy stuff) but does not have any liquid. You'll have to buy your own liquid.

Whatever the case is, don't let it discourage you from switching from analogs (real cigs) to vaping. It's a bit of an investment and make take a few weeks to get the combination of juice, e-cigarette model and preferred vendors all sorted out, but it's worth it in the long run.

Props to you for staying festive despite the circumstances! :]
