Hello all,

My name is Cyrene (pronounced "serene" for those inquiring minds) and I've been smoking for over 35 yrs. I just started on the e-cigs, and I ordered the Blu starter kit. Seemed like the best way for me to start out. I am hopefully going to stay smoke-free with the e-cigs, and I really will enjoy reading about all the different views on the best ones to get.

Thanks for letting me join!

Hello and welcome to ECF! You found a good place, tonnes of information and fantastic folks here. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask, even if they seem silly, there's a lot to learn in the first little bit and it's easier with others.
Congrats on the decision to drop smoking cigarettes. It can be tough at first, even with pv's, but hang in there. 35 year habit can be a tough nut to crack. I found the support here invaluable, doubt I'd have done it without ECF and it's members, especially when vaping still seems to be extremely niche and misunderstood most places.

I'd say good luck, but there's no luck involved. You can, nay, you WILL do it!

Welcome Cyrene, it's good to have you here! 35 years is quite a while but can certainly be conquered with e-cigs! I haven't had an analog since I picked up my EGO but I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't even compare with what I get now as far as a nicotine delivery system.

Not to diminish your excitement about your BLU but I do have to say they don't get the greatest reviews around here. Maybe it's just because most of our posters have turned hobbyist and just like the 'cooler' stuff. Anyway, the only thing I really want to say about it at this point is that if you have trouble kicking the cancer sticks after trying your BLU for a while DON'T GIVE UP! Try something else and keep after it. I PROMISE you there is something here that will do the trick for you and you'll have endless support from us all to help you find it and get the most out of it!

A lot of the issue isn't about bigger or cooler, it is about Blu's pricing. Even those who like Blu can tell you after a while they just don't want to pay that price for prefilled cartos anymore.

However, if Cyrene gets it and then decides she doesn't like it from what I understand there is time to send it back, but it is a starting point and so long as it works then it is worth it in the long run.

Hi Cyrene! I'm new here (and to vaping) too (I'm on day #6 with my Blu). Like elothen says, don't give up if the Blu doesn't happen to work for you. It seems that many folks have an issue w/the Blu, but for now I'm continuing to use it because it's working! I'm so encouraged by my success thus far that I can't see ever turning back now. Welcome and stay strong!!

I started with the Blu...Use it and stay on the forum reading and learning. I handled it the wrong way. I liked the Blu at first, but it just was not keeping up with the cravings, so i went back to smoking "before i found ecf" ...You will deff upgrade to a better less/more expensive system..But its a good starting point, when you do upgrade pass it on to someone else interested in vaping....

Congrats, Welcome to the vaping world
