Hello people :) I'm glad i found this forum and i wanted to say hi to all of you.
My English is not my strongest point and i hope you'll understand what i'm saying.
I'm smoking a ciggaretes for 27 yrars now and want to try and start vapong in stead. My wife got Ego cig few days ago so i tuck it and tried it and are willing to try vaping. I don't think ego is a very good cig but i can see the potential in viping by using it.
Why do i say it is not very good? Because sometimes i can get a very good taste out of it when i vape but mostly i get strange ( i think you call it burned ) taste. But it is also possible i'm doing something wrong lol
Since when i start something i do it the right way mostly and i want to know all about the thing i decide to do i read a lot on this forum and i watched a lot of video reviews about e cigs and now i'm totaly confused lol
There are so many products out there and i can't chose witch one is the best to get if you are begginer in viping thing.
I would like to get that Nautilus thing but then i don't know what MOD to buy for it?
If you guys can recomend something that is good to start vaping on ;)

I'm sure this has been asked like milion times before :)

One more thing i don't understand is Volt, Wat, Ohm thing even if i get one of the MODs lol.

eGo style vaporizers are very good starter batteries. They have two sets of threads on top by the button. The inside threads are 510 and the outside threads are eGo. This is the most common type of connection. You can buy a Nautilus tank and screw it right on there.

You are most likely getting a bad taste because the cotton wick is getting burnt due to being too dry or your atomizer is not wicking as fast as you are vaping. In order for the atomizer, cartomizer or tank to produce vapor, it has to be wet at all times. Some devices are better than others at wicking.

Until you understand proper battery care and basic electricity such as watts, ohms and voltage, you should stay away from mechanical mods.

If I were you, I would just get a better tank for your eGo and learn how to use it and take care of it. I have had the best luck with Evod and ViVi Nova tanks. Other tanks that people like a lot are the ProTank 2 and 3 and Aspire Nautilus.

Of course there are about as many opinions as there are devices, but those seem to be the most popular.

Thanks for your help guys ;)

Yes i think it is the tank that is the problem for me and i'll get Nautilus ot Protank 2 soon.
Still on my stock C4 tank that comes with Ego. Got also C5 with 10 extra heads but that's before i found you guys and started reading.
I'll also keep using Ego battery with my new Nautilus or PT2 untill i get that Vat Wolt Ohm thing :D

Hello and welcome!

The ego is a very good choice for a new vaper. That "burnt taste" you are getting comes from the piece of hardware attached to the battery. This piece of hardware is sometimes called a "topper" or a "tank" or a "clearomizer" or a "glassomizer" or a "cartomizer or carto" or an "atomizer". Basically it's the piece of hardware that holds the coil that vaporizes your e-liquid or "juice". If this hardware can't feed your juice fast enough, you get (what we call) "dry hits".

Below are some blog posts by ECF member Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping.

3. Proper terminology - Is it a carto, a tank, or what? A Guide to Juice Attachments.
4. Something Safe for Cinnamon and Citrus Flavors

And here is one more: One Stop Reference Shop For New and Experienced Vapers

Once you have had some time to read all of this, I hope you will come back with some more questions. I would be happy to give you some recommendations, but I don't want to add to your confusion right now!:)

Thank you Susan ;)
Just spend my day reading all this and i think i figured it out finaly.
Just got my C5 tanks and they are much better than C4. Didn't get any burn taste so far and i think i finaly know what vaping really is! If it can be even better than i can trow my cigs. By the way last cig i tuck was 20 hours ago :D
Since this is my first viping i decided to go for something smaller again next step up. Not jet ready for the big MODs jet!
So i ordered Ego Twist and Kanger Aerotank Mini just to see what the fuse is in MOD and open air heads ;)

I'm sure i'll finished up by using Provari and Nautilus at the end but just not ready to go oround with those big things jet :)
My wife would be very confused if i come with something like that and will think i'm craze :)
