When I first got into RDAs I had been off and on smoking and vaping for about a year and a half. All of my vape friends were using RDAs and had sweet mods. I decided to jump on board too and I haven't looked at a cigarette since.

My biggest piece of advice is to read reviews on every RDA that you come across. Look for something easy to build on first too, such as something with 4 post holes or such. 3 post holes are easy to build on too, but take a little bit more of a learning curve.

Get quality cotton, a few different gauges of kanthal, and a decent ohm meter. You always want to test the resistance before you build. You can get a lot of that on Amazon, especially the kanthal for dirt cheap. Small wire cutters and small pliers are a must!

Lastly, watch tons of tutorials on youtube if you haven't already. Its super easy once you practice a few times, and if you buy 100ft of kanthal then you have some to spare if you mess up.

Thank you all for the advice. Might be cancelling an order of the new Starre Pro tank and just go with an rda.
If it fits your budget, get both. It never hurts to have a good tank handy.

I use my zephyrus tank while I'm driving or at work, and I mostly drip at home. I drive a manual so its harder to drip and drive unless I make short 10 minute trips and drip before I start driving or maybe at stop lights. Just something to consider, but by no means is it necessary as long as you are safe or don't vape in your car.

Hi and welcome to the board. I am not a dripper kind of guy, so I will let others speak to that. As luck would have it, though, I am working on putting a dual twisted 30 Kanthal build in my old Patriot. It's the only dripper I have, and I think it hasn't has a fresh build in it this year. Or last.

Don't blow the bank on an RDA, find a solid one and read reviews and buy the best bang for your buck.
You might find you don't use it as much or may love it. They certainly require more fiddle time, I'm too lazy for that. Both of mine don't get much love, I'm more of a tank guy myself.
If you like building and dripping then by the time you've had it awhile you'll probably know what you really want and if you don't you're not out too much coin.

Just to throw my 2 cents in on which ones are good IMO...I've personally used a Stillaire, Dark Horse, Tugboat, Deringer, and Troll.
The Troll is by far my favorite since you get a really good balance between flavor and clouds. You won't get competition clouds out of it, but they are still fairly massive. The flavor is spot on depending on where you set your air flow to as well. The mutation x is similar to the Troll, but the air flow is a little different I believe. Anyone feel free to correct me on this if I'm wrong, because I'm just going off of looks.
