Hello!

Just a little about me, I started vaping several weeks ago, using a cigarette-style w/pre-filled carts (I won't name the brand but it sucked :p). I hadn't done much research and made a bad choice, but once I tried it I saw the potential and did some research, I got the eGo, which I really enjoyed since now I was getting the vapor production, throat hit, and flavor I was hoping to get out of the first one.

Then came the learning curve. Direct-dripping. Trying carts and cartos. Making a mess. Getting juice all over the place. Burning stuff, breaking stuff, but still doing well enough that I stopped smoking analogs. I settled on direct dripping most of the time, and cartos while out driving. Direct dripping gave me the best flavor and vape, but man what a pain having to drip so often, carrying that bottle around, etc. I kept thinking there must be something easier, so I kept researching, looking at mods...then I saw the Reo and knew I had to have one. Then I saw how hard it was going to be to get one and didn't think there was any way I would...

But surprise! I was lucky enough to snag one this morning (black with a red door) and I am so excited! Yay! (please don't hate me for getting one if you wanted one and didn't get one :()

So what I am looking for are some suggestions. The best batts and charger, and the best atomizers to get the best experience possible with my Reo mini. As far as batts from what I have read I should get Trustfire 14500 3.7v 900mAh Protected, for a charger the Ultrafire wf-139? Which atomizers? Right now I have Joye 510s I got from Vapor Talk.

Am I going to even want this eGo anymore? Anyone need one? :p

Hi Andy and welcome to ECF. I got an eGo about 3 months ago and loved it. About a month ago I ordered 3 new 900mah Mega batt's as backups. At the same time I ordered a couple of mods. I got a Maxi Roughstack from Madvapes. I immediately quit using the eGo's. I've got 5 of them sitting in a box. The reason isn't that the eGo's are bad PV's, it's just the Roughstack hits harder and lasts longer. I got 3000mah batt's for it so it'll go forever it seems like. The eGo's start out good when freshly charged, but drop off in vapor production quicker. It has to do with the voltage output and dropoff.

Trustfire batt's are ok, but I've heard better things about AW's. Trustfire's are cheaper and are rated higher in mah, but AW's are said to be rated more accurately than Trustfires. But they do cost a bit more. That said I've been using 14500 Trustfire's in one mod and they do well. As far as chargers, I've got a TR001 and it works fine. From the links you posted you're paying less than I did for both batt's and charger. I would suggest you get at least 1 extra batt, and an extra charger some time in the near future. I'm one of those who believes in backups.

For atomizers I've been running LR's at 2.0 ohms on the Roughstack when at 3.7v. They give decent performance, better than the eGo ever did. I'd order a couple different resistance levels to find the one you prefer. Consider a 1.5 or 1.7, a 2.0, and a 2.2 if you're wanting LR's for more punch. Since you've probably got some standards from your 510 you'll have a few to try.

I wouldn't use anything but AW batteries in any mod. Best out there by far. They now offer an IMR battery (liMN chenistry battery, also known as a "high-drain" battery) in the 14500 size your Mini takes. These offer much better performance than regular Li-Ion batts. I get all my batteries from LightHound and they have been rock solid in customer service as well. They are a bit shorter than protected 14500 li-ion models since they don't require any protection ICs but you should not have a prblem just stretching the spring a bit if needed.

Would the AW batteries still be able to be charged in the battery charger linked above? What about them is better? Do they just last longer?

They can be charged in a standard li-ion battery charger. The biggest difference is the actual battery chemistry. The IMR batteries use a different chemistry which allows faster discharge rates. It should be noted that the differences are specifications only. I Personally didn't find much difference in performance between a regular AW brand li-Ion and it's AW IMR counterpart. It's probably because the regular AW batteries are excellent to begin with. I tested some other brands of IMR batteries from China and thought they actually underperformed compared to my regular AW Li-ion batts but have not done any scientific tests to verify it, just subjective based on what I am used to. I still wouldn't use any battery but AW. I simply get too many variations in size/performance/duty cycle, etc. from other brands.
The flashlight folks rate this charger pretty highly and it will charge 3.2v and 3.7v batteries if you have a mix. I have one and it works well and it monitors each cell independently while charging in pairs so you don't over charge either cell. If there were a negative i have found with it it's just making sure you change the small switch back and forth when you charge the 3.2v lifep04 batts and then go back to 3.7v batts or the other way.

Again, i have no affiliation with LightHound, they just have good prices and CS has been great. They have always answered my questions accurately and quickly.
