My journey to be 'smoke free' began a couple months ago when my daughter showed off her new toy - an automatic e-cig. I was intrigued. I wanted to quit smoking - no, I NEEDED to quit smoking - and I thought this would finally make it happen. She hooked me up with my very own kit a few weeks later and I thought I was in heaven. That was until I couldn't keep the unit charged and the pre-filled carts tasted nasty and they would last 10-15 minutes of vaping. I was back to analogs. I decided to search the web to see if I was doing something wrong. And that's when I found this forum. I read through all of the posts, checked out the ECF library and I realized I wasn't doing anything wrong - it was the product I bought.

I did more research and decided on a 510 kit. I also purchased a PCC, extra blank carts and 5 - 10ml of juice. Let me tell you that was the best $100 I've spent in a long time! My package arrived July 28 and I've been vaping away ever since! I've smoked about 1/2 a pack since then and the last 4 days have been smoke free. For me this is a major accomplishment because I smoked about 1 1/2 to 2 PAD for about 30 years. I usually spend about $45-$50 a week on cigarettes so I think I have now broke even. I showed my daughter my new toy and she fell in love! I purchased the same kit for her and she's been analog free for a week.

If it wasn't for this forum I would probably still be stopping at the gas station every other day for my 3 packs of smokes. I would still smell like a walking ashtray every time I walked into a room. So thank you all for sharing your experiences and knowledge with me and all of the other people 'lurking' the forum trying to decide if this is right for them.

Now I just have to find a part-time job to help pay for all the juices I want to try!

Congratulations! Your story is wonderful. I smoked for 14 years, PAD, but it was fairly easy for me to quit with my 510. I've been vaping for a little over two weeks and I love it. I got my mom a 510 also, but she's not into it as much as I am. Still, she has reduced her smoking. I'm hoping she will be able to quit also. Again, congratulations and welcome to the vaping family.

Consider me your recycling center for Njoy Pro, Smoking Everywhere Gold, Cloud 9, Smoke 51 Trio, and DSE103 useless batteries.
Other hardware if it’s still usable.
Those I loan out to/give to thank you.

Wow! Story is pretty similar to mine. Purchased what I now know are super minis and have discovered that they are a pain in the .... unless you use pre-filled carts, which can be expensive (2-3 PAD). Started vaping June 23, never really quit the analogs and actually started smoking them more each day. Found the forums... August 2 received my 510's and was analog free until this morning around 4am. I can't get my hubby to lay off the analogs and went outside with him while he smoked. Said hey give me one of those and OMG! That was the nastiest thing I have ever tasted! Makes one wonder how anyone ever even gets hooked on the nasty things. I'll stick to vaping thank you very much!

And thank you to the members of these forums... you are worth your weight in gold to me and a lot of others I'm sure. :toast:

Thanks all for the welcome! I'm still trying to figure out the liquid. I've read a bunch of stuff and it's making my head spin! LOL When I made my first purchase I got a free sample pack of 5 - 10ml bottles. I decided to go with vg. The liquid is good and I'm not dissapointed but I eally don't have anything to compare it too. I've read that a pg/vg mix is good too. And then there's the different ratios for the mix. I have to admit I'm pretty confused! I've read many good things about Ms. T's and FreedomSmoke USA so I will probably give them a try. I'm just not sure what a good pg/vg ratio would be. Decisions, decisions!

Hi beachbaby!
I have recently placed my first order with Ms. T's and it was all wonderful....trying to decide what my 2nd order will be and I only received the first 4 days ago!!
After playing around with the mix ratios for a while I have been ordering a 50/50 mix from vaporbomb. (or anything with a higher vg ratio like in Ms. T's juice) The pg made my throat burn and sore. Good luck with finding your perfect mix!!

Hi beachbaby and welcome.

Juice can make a big difference to your vaping. You should do some reading in the E-liquid forum, then order a variety of flavors to start with, and try them out. Just remember that a flavor's name isn't neccessarily a guide to how it will vape. Seems that some of the most peculiar-sounding flavors actually taste great.
