Just wanted to officially say Hello after 3 weeks of scouring ECF for information/guidance in transitioning from analogs to ecigs.
Also wanted to say thank you to the creators of this forum and the great community on ECF. My second child (baby girl) was born on May 29th, two days after I had a conversation with my wife about my desire to quit analogs once and for all. I knew I had to stop - didn't want to expose my girls to even the scent of smoke on my clothes, wanted my wife to want to kiss me again and just wanted to have every chance possible to be around as long as possible for my family.
I picked up a disposable Blu from the gas station on May 28th and took my remaining pack of Marlboros, grabbed a pair of scissors, cut the pack in half and threw it in the trash. I thought it would be hard as hell to switch "cold turkey," but I'm happy to say that I haven't smoked an analog cig since and haven't even had the desire to do so.
I hold my baby knowing that all she smells is daddy, my wife is proud of me for quitting analogs and here's hoping I've extended my life just a bit longer.
I credit Blu cig with getting me off analogs and introducing me to the world of vaping, but like many folks here, I outgrew it quickly and experimented. Blu cigs gave way to ProSmoke which (with the help of the wisdom shared by folks on ECF), has given way to an Ego-T with tank and atomizer/drip setup courtesy of the fantastic folks at Vapeny.com out in Jamaica, Queens in New York City. Working on reducing my nic content to 0 and vaping for the joy of it.
Thanks for reading and looking forward to many great years of vaping and learning/sharing with all of you.
