Hi there!

I don't know that I'll post often here, but I thought at the very least I should sign up and say a big THANK YOU!!!!! for all the information I've got from skulking around reading other posts. Just about every time I typed one of my myriad of questions into google this site has come up with an answer. It got to the point that I stopped typing into google and just eyeballed the site for threads asking the same things. It has been most helpful and I've even found a new supplier!

I am now almost six weeks without smoking. My journey has been interesting and most (if not all) of my 45678 questions have been answered by this site. The end result is that I am no longer smoking cigarettes and no longer ashamed of myself. I have always told my children that if you never smoke then you never have to quit and have hid it from them for years. And although I won't vape in front of my children (I just have to pee a lot when they're not in school or sleeping) there IS NO SHAME in e-smoking. I feel proud of myself that I've quit the frucking smokes and have zero desire to light one up. And I've already got one friend along on the trip with me, another one half convinced and a third going to try for it (as of today!).

I still have almost a full pack of smokes in my purse though, I bought them thinking I needed them and only smoked one and a half. And I kept the halfie too. Halfies always used to be my favourites as they were stronger tasting and you got the nicotine hit faster. I am strangely unwilling to give them away or throw them out. Anyone else keep real cigs around even though they have no intention of smoking them?

I have seen where people have some cigs in the freezer or laying around after they quit through vaping.

I am so glad you feel good about yourself from quitting smoking. Vaping helped me feel like less of a loser [who smokes when they know it's bad for you, right?]. The thing is that I liked smoking and smoking got me through some pretty hard times. Don't forget, too, that smoking was very acceptable. Heck, there were ashtrays in hospital rooms. So, don't be ashamed anymore. Be proud. You found a way to tame that tiger.

Congratualations on 6 weeks without smoking.
