hi everyone! my name is cody and i have been smoking analogues for about 3 years now. i only caught wind of the e-cig last week, and researched for almost an entire day. thanks to this website, i am familiar with the technology and the lingo. also, i ordered a 510 titan PCC kit from totally wicked and a few bottles of liquid. it came today!

so far, so good. smoking for me was more than just an addiction to nicotine, i simply enjoyed the act of smoking. the e-cig seems to do a good job of taking place of a cigarette.

first, i have a question. did TW change their liquids? the throat hit is pretty good, but there is no vapor on the exhale. this doesnt bother me at all, but i am just wondering.

second, i have a few things to say about the 510 for any other new users. fully assembled, it is about the size of a black and mild w/o the mouthpiece. somehow, i had a box of them on my desk (i dont even like them). but thats a good size comparison. the batteries use an electronic switch, so if youre using it in your car, make sure the window is up, or you have a manual battery!

my next move is to order a USB passthrough, as i spend a lot of time in front of computers and gaming machines. i will probably also order a 5 pack of atomizers and a 5 pack of manual batteries.

if anyone has any comments or advice, i will gladly hear (read) it!

Hey Mad - welcome to the forum! Sounds like you're off and running here.... I have to agree with Jim's advise above - make sure you have backups!

Now - on to the vapor on exhale problem.... you say you're getting a throat hit, but no little cloud on the exhale - so - how long are you holding in the vape before you exhale? If you hold it in for a super long time, your lungs have a chance to absorb more, and you tend to go into 'stealth mode' where there isn't a cloud on exhale... try to exhale a bit quicker, and see if that doesn't improve things...

thanks - ive got plenty of juice right now and ill order some spare atomizers probably tomorrow.

vicks - if i fill my mouth w/o inhaling i can puff out a nice cloud of vapor, but if i inhale it, very very little or no vapor at all comes out. so im thinking they changed their recipe to the stuff that dissipates in the Ph balance of the lungs.

Also try to take a fairly short drag without inhaling into your lungs and then immediately exhale. If you don't see a nice little dense cloud of vapor at that point, something is wrong.

I have also found that if I exhale slowly, kind of just letting it drain out of my lungs, I seem to get a lot more vapor. Either that or I get the same amount of vapor, but it just looks and feels like a lot more.

Madnapoli, welcome to the forum and to vaping! :D Your post was very good for any new user who is trying to decide about the 510. One suggestion if you want more vapor is to get you a bottle of glycerin (can be found in most any pharmacy, just make sure the label denotes "USP") and add to your liquid. The glycerin will provide you extra vapor.

If you drip onto the atomizer, just replace one of your liquid drops w/ a drop of glycerin. If you are filling carts, just add enough glycerin to the cart to make it about 10-15% of the liquid.

thanks for the welcome everyone!

heres another question: should i get a regular battery charger so i dont have to charge exclusively through the PCC all the time? i reckon that the battery in that thing will eventually weaken over time like all batteries, so would a standard scew-in charger be a good investment as well?

well its going great so far. the flavors i picked out are great and the whole kit is working as intended. i dont really mind the small amount of vapor on exhale, as i can tell its working... this is evidenced by...

i only smoked ONE analogue all day today! i really only smoked that one just to get a good comparison of what it felt like to an e-cig, and how it felt after trying the e-cig. no more analogues for me, screw that crap.

one gripe: the coconut flavored liquid is kind of weak. a bit disappointed on that cuz i love coconut, but its not like im going to throw it out. its fine with me.

the other two i got, green tea and spearmint, are dead on. even the green tea ACTUALLY tastes like green tea. if you like green tea, give their liquid a shot.

my next order of liquid (should be a while and will definitely be from TW again) will probably contain menthol, cola, mint choco chip, and chocolate. if anyone can comment on their cola and chocolate flavors, id like to hear it. ive seen info on the minto chip and menthol and i am sure i would love them.

about the PCC for new users: i got the full PCC kit from TW and it came with one battery, one atomizer, a car adapter, a wall adapter, a usb cable, the PCC, and an assortment of carts. what i am going to be talking about here is all the electronic equipment above.

the car adapter as well as the wall adapter have a USB PLUG! this was meant for charging the PCC anywhere, but means that you can buy (outside the kit, of course) ONE usb scew-in charge kit, and plug that into pretty much every power source known to man.

just something else to keep in mind.

blech, forgot to mention this also means you can plug a USB power passthrough into everything else. that was actually the main point i was going for... whatever. so, if youre driving across the country, plug the USBPP into the car adapter and youre set!

Excellent! It takes everyone in an instance like this to make a difference. Make sure you stop by the E-cig News section from time to time we have an awesome community that have been compiling the good and bad press that's out there and sifting through it.

*Glad to hear the e-cig is working out for you. Welcome to the fam.
