Whoa 5 pair of tweezers??? What’s that thing at the top at the far left end left of the purple scissors?

More for RTAs. Wicking is not as critical on most RDAs. Good question.

That’s what I thought but I wasn’t sure. Yeah one of the first things I read about the differences between RTA and rda is RTA is a lot harder with the wicking. That’s what I wanted to do at first until I found out about squonking with rda. I’d always heard about dripping and never wanted to do that.

I guess I want to be lazy when I vape. My holy grail vape device would be a squonk with great TC (and/or auto squonk with dialed in presets for each rda. Whatever prevents a dry hit from happening) and easy top refilling with a large capacity squonk bottle. Durable. And I guess dual 21700 also. I know the really low resistance dual coil builds can kill battery.

Where you least expect it....
Another tip is to save the tools that you receive from buying RTA's and such. Some have some really useful tools such as a spaced coil jig that came with the Ares for example.

Saves at least a little bit of cash in the end and you can use those little tools for years until you decide to upgrade. Won't have everything you need but, you will have most of the things you'll need to build a simple coil.

Ah yes I will definitely be in that section. Thank you! I will probably start a thread about the SS nexmesh I posted above. I kid you not if you google “SUS316L nexmesh Reddit” nothing will come up for Reddit. Also YouTube nothing. I’ve always liked SS and I really want a squonk that can do TC well.

Thank you that does help. Yeah I’ve heard about the ceramic tweezers quite a bit. There’s quite a bit of stuff on Fasttech name brand that’s sold out right now with the mail ban about here.

Well damn you make it sound easy. I might try out some of the MKWS or demon killer prebuilt ones highly rated on FT because they are so cheap it’s crazy. If I’m gonna make my own which I think I might go ahead and try it now, I wanna get some complex prebuilt alien or quad core Clapton or whatever the hell on a spool for cheap and I just cut it to size and wrap it myself. Yeah it’s more expensive but still cheap af compared to what I’m used to spending on stock coils. I might go ahead and get that coil master diy kit v3 that has the 521. I really like what it does. And then I will have everything else. Might need to get a thing or two that’s better quality separate though from some of what I’ve read about it. Thanks for the help I appreciate any help I can get right now with the clock running out.
Wrapping your own coils IS easy. A good kit should have everything you need to do this. Yes, ceramic tipped tweezers are useful and even necessary when you are first firing and testing installed coils as they dont stick to the coils when you get them glowing and checking for hot spots. I have the coil master kit. Comes with 6 different sizes of mandrels and a holder, 2 micro screwdrivers, ceramic tipped and plain steel tweezers, needle nose pliers, wire nippers, scissors, and a 10 ft piece of kanthal. I think there was even some cotton pads included. All in all, very much worth the 25 bucks I spent at a vape shop for it.

Thanks for the tip. I noticed tools are included and hoped they would be good enough to use, especially for the RBA they come with. I’ve only ordered RDAs so far, no RTA yet. If you were me and you didn’t have a single RTA and were to buy just one, what would it be?

Yeah that’s actually an amazing deal especially considering it was bought at a vape shop. The few shops I’ve been to they overpriced everything sometimes more than twice the price of it online. That’s why I’ve spent way more than I wanted to these last few weeks to stock up.

There was a juice that I would always get at a shop that I really miss though. I would kill for the recipe. It was called Apple Smax by Cerealogy who’s been out of business for years now. They were obviously a small company because nobody knows about them. So I doubt there’s a clone recipe for it hell I just want a juice like it or maybe even better.

They still have pre-built coils and wire listed too.

Thank you! That’s a value right there wow. Just ordered it. I looked at several on Amazon and didn’t see that one. I didn’t search for diy kit like an idiot.

RTA's are a very subjective subject. Many different styles out there that suits different needs such as RDL, DL, and MTL. With each of those three, there are a ton of RTA's out there for each.

Without having experience with RTA's in general will make it hard for me to suggest a single RTA since you haven't developed a preference yet.

What style of vaping suits you the most?

I’m definitely DL. Never done MTL except for when I first started vaping back around 2010 or so with the Liberty Flights pen vape. Y’all remember that one right? It was such a PITA but helped me quit smoking. And it sucked enough to quit vaping too not long after lol I know MTL is way better now I just haven’t had a desire to switch from DL. Though the idea of less vapor to blow around my family sounds nice and the higher nicotine. And I would imagine less battery usage too right?

Ngl I didn’t even know what RDL was. I had to search it up. Sounds interesting. But nah I’m definitely DL for now.

I’m not very familiar with the pros and cons of RDTA but I almost bought the Profile RDTA considering I can always just use it as an RDA. But I didn’t because I don’t know much about RDTAs.

Good to hear you have a preference, unfortunately I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to DL vaping. However, have read a lot of good things about the Vandy Vape Kylin Mini V2 that is still available. Due to the upcoming ban. The pickings are pretty slim at this time but, the Kylin should be a good starting RTA for you.

Hey thanks. I think I might look into it. But you’re right about slim pickins.....
