Hi,

I have been lurking this site for a while, and already I am impressed by all the information I have been able to pick up. The people of this forum have helped me out immensely without ever knowing who I am. I figured I would at least introduce myself.

I've been smoking for about 17 years. Like a lot of smokers, I've tried to quit several times. Unfortunately, I never have quite made it. I have a son who turns 5 tomorrow, and we just found out another one on the way due August 28. I saw something about e-cigarettes not too long ago, and thought I might give it a try. I did a lot of research and found out not to buy one at the local gas station. Anyway, I placed my first order for a 510 last night and look forward to getting it soon and joining all the rest of you who are already vaping.

And once again, thank you to everyone here who already have given me so much information about just about every aspect of vaping.

So far I have had the exact opposite of a problem. I forgot to fill out something in my order, and the owner called to make sure he was sending what I wanted. I thought that kind of customer service was long gone. It plus this community has already given me quite a positive image of the vaping community as a whole. My order already been sent out, so now I'm just waiting for the postman in a couple days.

Thanks a lot. I'm already getting antsy waiting on him. I'm the type that spends a lot of time reading about things, but once I decide I want something, I want it now.

I can totally relate. In deference to my wife's frugality I only got priority shipping on the one order than was big enough to get it free, so I kept USPS tracking numbers refreshing in my browser for a couple of days.

Since you'll be using a 510, I'd pick up a 5-pack of Boge 510 2.5 ohm cartomizers, and about twice as many sample bottles of juice as you think you'll need. (I mention PinkSpotVapors.com so much I should get paid for it, but seriously, I've had fantastic luck with them and others.)

Thank you for the recommendation. I already planned on getting more samples sent as soon as I figure out how the nic strength thing will work out for me. I know a lot of people say you save money vaping, but I've already got a pretty big list of things I want to try. Not sure I'm really going to save that much.

Perhaps not initially. But if you can quit smoking it's worth it. In the long run, if you end up only needing cartos & juice, it's def. cheaper.
The danger (from an ecomonical viewpoint) is insatiable gearlust. A condition which ails a fair %-age of ECF members.
