I’m totally new to vaping.. bought an i leaf just 6 days ago and I’m well impressed with the results so far! Until I left it drop today and now the liquid is leaking everywhere... I thought it was the case of buying the pen though and that was it but I understand now there is a lot more involved to them!! What do ye people recommend as the best pen to buy?!

I don't know that there is a "best" pen style vape, and some of them are really unforgiving of drops, as you have found. You can pick up some vape bands in almost any vape shop for a pittance, that may help with drops.

If you are serious about ecigs, you may want to invest in a more robust setup that gives you more vaping options. If you are "wedded" to the pen style of vaping I don't have much to offer, as I don't use them. It will be a matter of preference.

If you want to "move up" a bit in vaping, the pico kit is fairly well liked. You can get it with an internal battery and a more MTL vape (it comes with the Melo II I think). The newer pico comes with a Melo III, which is a bit more powerful and would give you more vaping production (possibly more than you'd want, hard to say for sure). The other kit I often recommend to newcomers is the Aspire zelos kit, which comes with an internal battery but it's a bit more robust in terms of power, before needing to recharge (can get a 50 or 75 watt kit, and it comes with a well liked, easy to manage Nautilus 2 which is definitely a more "mouth to lung," restricted tank, probably more similar to a pen style of vaping.

Both aren't as slim in form factor, but they are still pretty small, and in my opinion anyway far more robust.

Best of luck with whatever you decide.

Anna

Thanks for reply’s.. how do you know which pen is the one that works for you though? Keep buying pens till you are happy? What is the difference with the wattage and the ohms? Or do they make any difference??
Welcome and glad you joined.
We need to know if you vape MTL or DL vaper. Wattage and ohm's is generally secondary to knowing vaping style.
Might want to read about the differences:

The device that allow you to vape is called mod and consist of battery part and tank part. Battery part provide power and tank provides liquid. Inside tank there is changable coil (heating element) that needs to be replaced after a few days or few weeks (dependent on style and how much you vape).

Pen style mods are usually simplest but at the same time offer a least amount of vaping control. Most beginners are attracted to them because they are simple... and they are a little cheaper.... but usually after short amount of time most vapers realize that for a few dollars more they can have much better vaping device that allows them control over the amount of vapor produced, flavor and temperature.

Those better mods will allow you to control power battery sends to heating element (coil) in the tank. There are many kinds of coils (they differ in resistance and sometimes material they are made) there are also many kinds of tanks that differ in liquid capacity, coils compatibility and air flow control that is as important for great vape as ability to set the right power (in watts).

Most coils had etched recommended wattage but to be able to choose correct there is important to know what kind of style vaping you gonna do.

There are two style: DTL (direct to lung) that basicaly means inhaling huge amount vapor directly to lung or MTL (mouth to lung) that basicaly is mimicking the way cigarette smoker inhale smoke. Another loose analogy is that DTL is rapid drinking from bottle/glass and MTL is drinking by using a glass and a straw.

Any mod
with controllable wattage will allow you to use different style tanks... MTL tanks or DLT tanks... (MTL use much smaller wattages so single battery mods are ok but for DTL that use higher wattages two battery cell mods are preffered but good single one will also work ). If you do not know what style of vaping you would prefer my advice is to buy any good and relativelly cheap mod be it eleaf iStick pico, Aspire Zelos and one MTL tank and one DTL tank and do not buy a lot of coils until you will know what style you prefer.
