New vaper here, just few months of "experience". Came to learn. Ive been smoking regular cigarettes for over 20 years, last few years I've hand-rolling Old Holborn and I've, to be honest, enjoyed the whole experience! Except for the part where I smell to everyone, freeze during cold days and nights while taking my dope and start to silently panick when I see I'm near the bottom of the tobacco pouch. Anyways, I had a try of an e-cigarette maybe 9 or 10 years ago... a cigarette shaped "mod" but with a separate refillable tank. The experience was awful. I still have the device somewhere probably... Then, around 6 months ago I got a Smok R-Kiss 2 kit as a present and I gave it another shot. I didn't like it either... I actually couldn't get used to DTL - it was the only tank that the kit shipped with. So, I kind of "vaped" the first tank, but I was heavily combining with regular cigarettes. Then I made a vaping break of few months and got another Smok, this time an IPX80. And that was a life changer. From the first inhale (Ritchy Liqua, Bright Tobacco, 18mg) few months ago - I just forgot about the regular cigarettes. I really enjoyed the experience and still enjoying it. No more smelling like sh*t, no freezing outside during cold days and my family has nothing against vaping in the common areas of the home. After the first few weeks of pure pleasure, I started to search around about a possibility to revive the "old" R-Kiss 2 and I learned I could top it up with just another atomizer and use it for MTL :) I guess that was just the very first "feeling stupid" experience in my vaping learning experience. I've got an Aspire Nautilus 3, it's still with the original 0.7ohm coil (the mesh one), and I use it for MTL. Now, I found out this forum while searching for reasons for some odd differences between these two devices. I use the very same liquid in both (the aforementioned Bright Tobacco): - IPX uses a 0.6ohm coil and has a 5.5ml tank - Nautilus 3 has a 0.7ohm coil and a slightly smaller tank The Nautilus tank seems to be consuming around double the e-liquid than the IPX80's (one tank on IPX80 lasts almost 4 days, while the Aspire needs to be refilled every two days). It also gives a slightly colder "smoke", the TH is a bit weaker as well and the amount of "smoke" is less than the one from IPX80. The IPX80 smoke is, on the other hand, a bit "dryer". So, I hope I'll learn why this happens, how to knowingly "fine tune" the atomizers and coils and, hopefully, much more that I'm not even aware yet I should learn (I'm already lurking guides about DIY coils and stuff, but I wouldn't dare to try before I know much, much more). Anyway, nice to meet you all and thanks for sharing all your knowledge and experience. Cheers!
