Raven, your place sounds fantastic! Sorry about the passing of your husband.

Um, bet we could have a "way too much stuff" juice lab contest. Sometimes I'm trying to make a certain juice and come across flavors I forgot I had and then start mixing that one and some time after cleaning up realize I never made the bottle of juice I wanted.

Welcome!

Raven. I'm glad to see you found your way into our group. Your place sounds nice. It's good to see another mixer in here. Maybe I could get some recipes from you if I ever start mixing. It's something I want to try. Hope you enjoy the group. If you got anything to say, suggest, or recommend feel free to speak up.

Hello Raven! I bet we are very "close" to one another :). I too am sorry to hear about your husbands passing.

I am new to vaping, and must say I was on the verge of throwing in the towel cause I got a little frustrated. I quit smoking analogs a few weeks ago (9) and have stumbled a few times wanting the "taste" of an analog. So, I decided to try the ecig. I just got my 510 kit from cignot last week and then went to Indy Vapor and purchased two more. I have tried to get my hubby on board, but he doesn't care for ecigs.

I think it is because I don't really know what I am doing and at first I gave him the Marlboro carts (high) that came with the cignot kits...those were too strong, then I gave him the 12mg Marlboro from Indy Vapor, and he was just kinda "over" it by then....Oh well, I will keep trying...

I thought that I wanted nothing but 0 mg, but I have tried a few, mixing my 26mg with a 0 mg of pink lemonade or cola....I just haven't found my niche...but I haven't given up. I would love to find a 0 mg that has a tobacco flavor with a great throat hit! I would love to understand how to refill a cartridge, not flood an atty.....and sometimes I am successful....it's the times that I am not technically inclined that I get frustrated. I think I need to try more flavors, but since I have already spent about 200.00, I was kinda just trying out my supply of juice before getting more.:)

Thanks for the welcome Folks!

ndfourleafclover - I'm not so sure that I could share my recipes because my required flavor percentage is just about off the charts. After 42 years of smoking, my taste buds are toast. Apparently, the longer you smoke, the less likely it is that your taste buds will regenerate after you give it up. It takes 50% flavor to blow my skirt up! That's just crazy, but any less and I just don't taste it.

Mickirette - Glad I'm not the only one that falls asleep with these things. If I were ever forced to go back to analogs, I'd have to quit that habit!

curlygirl - There's a bit a learning curve with these things. Don't give up! I was frustrated and inept at the beginning too, but with a lot of reading on this forum, I learned how to make it work for me. 510's seem to flood pretty easily but getting away from the standard polyfill carts helped me to get away from that problem. Finding a comfortable nic level and pleasing flavors helps a lot too.

Hoosier - I'll show you mine if you show me yours! ;) (mixing lab)

Interesting that I've never encountered another vaper (other that folks that I've turned on to it.) Are we really that rare?

Thanks again for the welcome. And for your sympathies in regards to the passing of my husband. But, I really don't deserve sympathy. I was very lucky to have found my soulmate, and fortunate enough to spend 24 years with him. I feel bad for all of those who are never lucky enough to have that experience.

That is a lot of flavor. Most of my flavors I probably wouldn't like that high but some may not be to bad. I really enjoy Tasty Vapors Lemonade custom mix. Every time I order it I have it do double flavoring of the Lemonade. I am a lemonade fanatic. From April-October it's about 90% of what I drink. Its not as good during cold months so I don't drink a lot of it.

The only other vapers I have encountered are the ones selling e-cigs at the mall kiosk and every time I walk by I just want to pull out my box mods and show them what a real PV will do. lol

I'm glad you are dealing with your loss so well. I feel that to often people grieve about a loss when being happy that we get to meet such great people and have had them touch our lives is really what we should be doing.

Hi everyone!

I'm not sure I belong here since I'm not so much a Hoosier as a displaced Georgian. Winona Lake is my home now, though, and I have to say it reminds me of the suburbs of Atlanta ( ca 1980).

I started vaping about two months ago. I started with Blu( yeah, I know) and moved on to a nice 510. For me the 510 with the extended life battery works well, but I confess I'm ogling an eGo with great intensity. I haven't quite found my perfect flavor, but I'm enjoying a nice caramel liquid for the time being. It's almost llke the quest for the Holy Grail

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Pole Day or Indianapolis ( we've only lived here about a year - we moved here from Ioway ( that's the country south of Finnesota. It's chock full of Iowegians), but I learn more about Indiana every day, so there's some small hope of overcoming my ignorance.

Raven, I offer my condolences for your loss and I'm consumed with admiration for your ability to focus on what you had and not on what you no longer have: that's a rare quality.

CurlyGirl - I'm pleased to see that you're sticking with things. Really, vaping is so much more fun than smoking.

One final note: I've noticed a few threads elsewhere regarding heartburn. Many of the responses strongly urge the OP to see a physician. I think the general assumption is that heartburn and chest pain could be an incipient heart attack.

This morning, after having serious, painful heartburn for 3 out of the last 5 nights, I went to the doctor. No heart attack here, but gallstones, of all things. I've got to say I never saw that coming :))

Cheers!

Garry

Just wanted to say hi to my fellow Hoosiers. I'm in between Indy and Bloomington. I have been vaping since March of 09. I'm currently using 510 megas and an NJOY NCIG(RN4072). Going to be getting an Ego soon though.

Hi ALL!!!

Nice to meet you sbuck. So are you in the Martinsville area?

Hoosier, a few years ago, I would have said Gray's, hands down....but things are not the same since coming under new ownership. Having said that, I was just there last weekend:) Can't beat their pies! I haven't eaten at Poe's for many years.....

I need some education. I am trying to figure out why I was sold two more 510 kits, when I probably should have gotten an ego battery for my cignot 510? This battery life on the 510, um, sucks.....I don't even vape heavily and it seems the sucker only last about 2 hours, at best. Live and learn I guess....

Having lived in Indy my whole life, I have only been to the race twice. It's sure not what it used to be. My aunt and uncle used to own the little 12 lane bowling alley that was right by the track. I remember how much fun it was watching all the fools and the whole build up to the race.....my, how times have changed:(

Welcome Lab, sbuck and Bone:)

CurlyGirl:

I ordered an extended battery for my 510. They aren't terribly expensive and Cignot has them. I get about 3.5 hours out of it , which is plenty.

That said, I believe that you could order an eGo battery, charger and atomizer cover and you'd basically have an eGo for about $36.00. Ask the ladies at Cignot about it first, to be sure.

Has anyone tried the Black Ice liquid? I think that may be my next experiment

I'm with you - mega batteries for the 510 only. I also got a PCC for the megas. Makes like much simpler. :)

Well, Lab, I know lots of people that I don't remember. Maybe you're one of them? I can't remember...

Curly, so how long should a battery last? It's a tradition to stop at Gray's on the way to the Cream & Crimson game. (And I'm a Purdue grad, so go figure?)

I don't know how long they are supposed to last, remember I am an ecig tard....but, I guess if I vape the length of time it takes me to drive to work (10-15 minutes).....and then it just sits there for about 3 hours and kinda is pooey and needs a switch, I think that is kind of odd???.....

My hubby has loved IU since way back in the day. Huge Bobby Knight fan( has the Bob Knight doll, and got it signed by the general himself)....so after they fired Knight, that "obsession" kind of went away (along with the sunroom that was drenched in IU garb)....fast forward to last year, when our oldest got accepted into IU......Now, my Acadia and the house is gearing back up with the insanity).....our youngest will do nothing her older sister has done, she is all about going to Purdue:)

Nah, a newb opinion is what I was asking for Curly. Basically, you expect a battery that is too big to fit in the cig footprint and most people starting out want a cig sized PV. Current tech is not there yet. It's an issue these device have.

I got over the cig footprint thing and went huge because I wanted a battery that would last for a 20hr day, but that isn't for everyone.

Yeah, I went to Purdue and cheered for Bobby's boys. It's the style of play I like more than the coach. Wisconsin is playing that style now and I hope this new IU coach finds a style that fits him & the school but he's not there yet. I do like Painter's job with Purdue. Much better coach than they've had.

Um, basketball nut... Hoosier as a handle... Go figure...
