Hey everyone. My name is Ian and I am a Messianic Jew. (A jew that believes the messiah has come) I was born again July 1994. I attend a messianic shul Friday nights and I also attend church Sundays. I have been happily married for 16 1/2 year and have 4 kids. I was happy to see this social group and look forward to talking to some of you and being able to praise the Lord together.

Shalom, Ian! Welcome landsman. My father was a Messianic Jew. My mom was gentile. You now have the best of both worlds.:) I am so excited that we now have an expert in the forum on the Jewish stance. Have you been to the Holy Land? I would love to go, but there is too much unrest. Do you belong to Jews for Jesus? That is an awesome group of folks.

If you have time in the future, I'd love to hear your testimony! Blessings to you and yours!:)

ShalomIanK You have to the right place great people with real love for their fellowman. I carry a Shofar most everywhere I go and enjoy some rousing debate with my Rabi friend, who keeps telling me I am a Jew I just don't know it. His Shofar I made from a raw kudu horn I bought on E-bay, and taught him to blow.

Shalom Ian! Welcome! All eyes are on Israel as God is about to demonstrate He is God and He eternally has His hand on Israel. God is no covenant breaker. He will honor His covenant with Abraham and his descendants. There is a remnant in Israel hallelujah! ... ;)

thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I was raised a jew and believed Jesus was just a profit and nothing more up until I was 16. I felt like there was more and went on my search. I spoke to other Christians, Jehovah witnesses, but kept falling back into my old ways. I met my wife in June of 1994. I didnt know at the time, but she attended a Messianic shul and invited me come. Once I was there I knew I found what I was looking for for 10 years. A month later I became a born again believer.

I am not a Jews for Jesus. They are more of a church and more of a Pentecostal church. Messianic shul is just like a Jewish shul but we believe in Yeshua. We read from both the old and new testimate. We celebrate the jewish holidays like passover, yom kipor, shivot, Perum, Hanuka ect.. We are also believe in being slain in the spirit and speaking in tongues.

I have never been inside the holy land per say. I went to Egypt back in 1990. We landed in Israel for a 2 hour stop over, on the way back I wanted to spend some time in Israel, but because I had an Egypt stamp in passport, at that time I wasn't allowed in Israel without returning to Canada first. So I never made it in, but I did have my feet in the holy land, just inside the airport lol. I was working for City Express Airlines at the time so I went to Egypt for $122. I don't think now that I will ever return to Israel unless I win the lottery.

I am so glad I met my wife who introduced me to the Messianic movement. God new I was searching hard for an answer and sent me Marie to guide me. Without her I would probably still be searching. I have never blown the shofar. I would like to. Maybe I will be able to at shul this year, I will ask.

Well thats most of my story, there is probably alot more you guys would like to know, and I would love to tell.

G-D Bless
